You could call him the storm after the storm. First there was Hurricane Sandy, and then, in the far reaches of the Republican Party, there was Hurricane Christie. The former was a devastating act of nature, the latter a desperate act of conservative frustration that came when the New Jersey governor embraced Barack Obama in the final days of the 2012 campaign. To hear the right wing tell it, the PDA between the Republican Chris Christie and the Democratic President should have been as lethal as a Michael Corleone kiss. Romney's campaign sulked. Talk-radio Republicans demanded blood. Tea Party leaders branded Christie a traitor.
Christie, however, didn't give a damn. Throughout the intraparty fight, the Jersey boy tore a page out of his hero Bruce Springsteen's songbook and defiantly struck a "No retreat, baby, no surrender" pose against withering right-wing rage. And now the Nov. 5 election results suggest that brazen, Christie-style bipartisanship might actually work.
Christie is the first New Jersey Republican in a quarter-century to win a majority of votes statewide....

I will NOT vote for Krispy under ANY circumstances.
Some of us will never vote for another Romney.
Pray America is Waking Up
Hey Joe! There’s a dead female intern in your office.
Moon Unit Zappa would say, I think, “Gag me with a spoon.”
Hey Scabby, shut your pie hole.
.
I know two people that won't vote for either, and I don't care anymore. I will write in Sarah Palin, and I don't care if she runs or not, before I ever vote for another RINO because he is the lessor of two evils.
Yes, he’ll united everybody to be a Democrat on the issues! No wonder he got Democrats to vote for him!
The setup continues. Ya think anyone will fall for it? ;’)
Don't these hacks understand that not just Conservatives will sit out and everyone will lose?
There will be no Constitutional leader in our Government. We all lose.
Ingram has chose sides with the RNC against Conservatives, and I suspect that
O'Really will soon be on board promoting Krispy along with many other National talking heads.
Shaddup and eat your peas, Joe boy.
Yeah, a cheap ass new Joisy punk handing out free Turkeys at Thanksgiving and then calling in favors.
A Player.
Christie seems very solid in standing up for whatever is necessary at the time.
Like Reagan. Yep, just like McCain is.
Gag me with a pitchfork...
It amazes me how NONE of the talking heads on those shows knows what Tea Party/Conservative people really think.
We are pissed off, and we will no longer accept “the lesser of two evils” as our only choice.
I for one would write in Madeleine Albright before I’d vote for another RINO. Neither would win anyway.
If the GOP gives us dem-lite, Americans will vote for the real thing, not some wannabe.
I have a way of not seeing stuff, sometimes major stuff, but I honestly don’t see Christy as having much appeal outside of NJ. I am amused by how these liberal brainiacs think they are seeing some kind of forecastable trend because he won in his own state with his kind of bombastic style against a pure nobody.
He was a one trick pony. He would use the typical New Jersey bully talk against teachers in public forums. Beyond that he’s not much.
He’s morbidly obese, likes homos, moslems, abortion, and gun control. Yeah,,, clearly the next Reagan.
The Republican presidents of my lifetime are Eisenhower (Kansas), Nixon (California), Ford (an anomaly), Regan (California), Bush (Texas), Bush (Texas).
There ain’t a northeasterner among them. The Republican base is in the South and West. The bastids ignore us at their peril.
I am with you.
