At a time when over 4 million people have had their health insurance canceled, its good to know that some Americans can still access prompt medical treatment, even if they dont want it. David Eckert was pulled over by police in Deming, N.M., for failing to come to a complete halt at a stop sign in the Walmart parking lot. He was asked to step out of the vehicle, and waited on the sidewalk. Officers decided that they didnt like the tight clench of his buttocks, a subject on which New Mexicos constabulary is apparently expert, and determined that it was because he had illegal drugs secreted therein. So they arrested him, and took him to Gila Regional Medical Center in neighboring Hidalgo County, where Mr. Eckert was forced to undergo two abdominal X-rays, two rectal probes, three enemas, and defecate thrice in front of medical staff and representatives of two law-enforcement agencies, before being sedated and subjected to a colonoscopy all procedures performed against his will and without a valid warrant.

It’s not a drift any more.
D*mn, that's priceless.
Everyone of those worthless fecks in Congress should be forced to listen to this article being read aloud. Mark Steyn has really hit it on the with this one.
I like Steyn, he is witty but this is no longer a funny situation. This is deadly and the joke stage is over.
If this pull-over happened IN the WM parking lot then it was on private property. Another little problem for the cops in the coming lawsuit.
BUMP for later...
Yep, poor guy’s in for some hard times telling this story from his beachfront villa in the near future... hope he gets at least 10 million.
Does not matter. The police in California stole my truck because the tags were expired. It was parked in a motel parking lot at the time. The lady officer said, you had to drive on public roads to get here !
Disgusting. How can police departments claim they are going by the book with a straight face under this set of circumstances.
Fortunately for the murderous DC police officers, they managed to refrain from calling Miriam Carey a ‘’nappy-headed ho’’’ before they shot her to death; otherwise, the Reverends Al and Jesse would have gone publicly apoplectic over the incident.
They did go by the book. The only mistakes were that the warrant was executed in a different county than was authorized, and the warrant did not permit a night time search as required for searching at 1am.
The frightening thing is that all the rest of it, including body cavity searches are indeed legal. They actually see nothing wrong with what they did aside from a few procedural issues.
Almost everything the Nazis and Soviets did was codified and legal. This is a very nasty era in our country. This cannot remain as Americas approach.
So, who is the Tea Party candidate for New Mexico’s Senate?
He could build a winning campaign from this.
