Blame game as insurers dump doctors
New York Post ^ | 11/9/2013 | Carl Campanile

Let the blame game begin over ObamaCare’s oversights.

The nation’s largest health insurer, UnitedHealthcare, claims the Affordable Care Act is responsible for forcing it to boot doctors from its Medicare Advantage program that serves thousands of elderly patients in the New York metro region.

CEO Jack Larsen, under fire for separating seniors from their MDs, took out full-page ads to explain that cuts in Medicare spending forced the insurer’s hand.

News from the DNC and President-for-Life Obama!

With the great success of the Obamacare program, our Dear Leader has looked out at the fly-over country ... and He sees a right for all Americans that needs to be provided. The inalienable right to transportation!

That’s right! With the passage of the new law, your right to cheap, dependable transportation can no longer be denied. There are currently 43 million Americans without transportation, but not after the enactment of ..... Obama-CAR!

Under Obama-CAR, if you like your current car, YOU CAN KEEP IT! ... as long as it gets 40 mpg city, 55 mpg on the highway. Otherwise, the new Obama-CAR! program will trade your old inefficient clunker for a new Obama-CAR. You will be able to choose any car from the vast array of Obama-CAR! choices ... including white, black or yellow GM (Government Motors) Metro!

Think of it ... a shiny new Metro in your driveway. You will be the envy of your neighbors, at least until they are forced to trade their old inefficient truck or SUV in for their Metro!

The advantages of the Obama-CAR! program are almost too numerous to mention. For instance:

No one can be denied cheap trusty transportation after the rollout of Obama-CAR!

Highways will be more roomy without over-sized trucks and SUV’s crowding everyone out.
No one will be envious of other drivers more expensive, impractical SUV’s or sports cars ... because there won’t be any!

Contact your Senator or Representative today! Let him/her know ... you want your Obama-CAR!

I am President-for -Life Obama and I appoved this message.

I have been a member of AARP since before 1989 - $16 a year. I had the cash money insurance policy if you were in the hospital and my husband had cancer and was in the hospital a lot and I got a check for $10,000 from that policy through AARP and another one over $2,000, no questions asked. Just sent the hospital bill in and the check was sent. I had double cataract surgery in 2012, two day surgeries and that policy sent money for those two times. That policy has nothing to do with Medicare or any hospital/doctor insurance, it is just cash when you are in the hospital.

I have plan F but for me since I am 80, the price was much higher than the UnitedHealcare one through AARP and the price has not gone up as I have aged. Outside of AARP, the price keeps going up the older you get.

I changed all of my moms policies to AMAC, the conservative alternative
to AARP! AARP are liberal whores, I DO NOT trust them with any kind
of care for my mom! All of the policies, car, house, and medical were
less expensive!!! She is now NOT supporting any liberal causes!

Does anyone know if the Medicare supplement plans require the same 10 items all other plans are mandated to provide? Can’t see many seniors needing pediatric dental and OB care.....

UH the insurers aren’t stupid. When you blow the caps off of coverage, and add a bunch of potentially expensive services either the price goes up or the insurer goes under. No such thing as a Free Lunch no matter how much the Rats vote for it.

Your AARP dues help make it the BIGGEST lobbying group in DC. Its the gorilla in the room when lobbyists get together. And AARP NEVER supports conservative politicians or positions. So understand, your financial support of them hurts all of us.

I won’t have anything to do with them. The conservative alternative is AMAC, you might want to look into them.

Indeed. And Dumbo knew that he was sinking the individual market and indeed, scrambling the market as a whole. He is turning all the c ompanies into government contractors—he hopes.

I don’t care what AARP says about anything, I just get better prices there for policies I want.

Nothing like conservatives standing on principle and not selling out to liberals.

We're all in competition with one another for doctors. Medicare tilted the playing field in favor of seniors. Now Obamacare is tilting it to favor the poor.

Anyone in the middle continues to be screwed.

Comment at the site:

As a rule, I don’t usually communicate with Obama supporters, but when I do, I usually order the large fries.

Bwahahahahaha!

I blame the following Dem senators from Red states, up for reelection this year, without whom this brobdinagian mess would not have reached the 60 votes it needed to pass: Begich of Alaska, Hagan of NC, Pryor of Ark, Landrieu of LA, and retiring senators in Mont, SD.

“Nothing like conservatives standing on principle and not selling out to liberals.”

Major insurance companies connected to AARP have products I need to live and I'm on a fixed income. I don't speak for AARP or endorse what they say. They have freedom of speech just like everyone does. I also don't know the politics of New York Life Insurance or UnitedHealthcare and I don't care.

I buy medicine from Walgreens and I don't care what the politics of the owners of Walgreens are. I buy groceries from Kroger and I don't care what the politics of the owners of Kroger are.

I have a sister-in-law and her husband who are to the left of Stalin but I don't forbid them to come in my house.

Now Obamacare is tilting it to favor the poor.

He can tilt all he wants but if providers aren't paid enough they won't treat Obama's pets.
