Am I the only one who hopes Rick Perry can reinvent himself as a viable candidate next time around? He had such potential.

You are not the only one. I'm sure you know, but most probably do not, that he was still on heavy meds from the back problems/surgery during the debate. Thus the forgetfulness.

In Texans we believe. Wouldn't it be interesting if Perry and Cruz challenged each other for the nomination.

The problem for Perry:

The MSM would show the video of his memory lapse* over and over and over. Although, they didn’t bother to show similar Obama lapses — including the 7+ minutes of uhs and hmmmms at one town hall.

Perry has one of the best records, considering how Texas has fared during the Obama years compared to many other states.

[* Most of ‘us’ realize the lapse was probably due to the pain medication he was on, as he has just had back surgery a couple of weeks before entering the 2012 primaries.]
