Texas Republican Sen. Ted Cruz previewed a new plan to repeal Obamacare and replace it with different health care reforms.
"The only way to stop the problems is to admit this idea was fundamentally flawed to begin with," Cruz told Fox News' Megyn Kelly. "At this point, starting over, stopping Obamacare, is the essence of pragmatism."
Cruz's approach differs from some congressional Republicans and Democrats who are working to pass a bill delaying the Obamacare individual mandate or help Americans keep their current health care plans.
Cruz said that he would release a bill to empower Americans to purchase health insurance across state lines, creating a "true national market." Insurance can only be purchased intra-state at present.
"In the coming weeks, I intend to layout a plan to provide exactly that, a plan to repeal Obamacare altogether and at the same time expand options for five million-plus people, who have lost their health insurance and 300 million people across this country to expand their options to have affordable, personal, portable health care," Cruz said.
I wonder if McCain will call him a “Wacko Bird” again?
Awesome! I had been under the impression that any balance at the end of the calendar year was forfeited to the federal government. I believe that was the rule when they first instituted them. This makes a lot more sense for the consumer. I’m going to review the groundrules. Thank you!
You still need an alternative, otherwise we're back to square 1 with the libs pushing "we've got to do something!" line.
An alternative plan doesn't have to be a big-government program, though, and what Cruz is proposing is going back to the status quo ante and from there, relaxing some of the previously existing federal regulations that has hindered the free market, such as the prohibition on policies offered across state lines.
You put your finger right on the problem: voters who still take the opinions of anti-business liberals seriously, or as you put it “ - - - - the libs pushing “we’ve got to do something!” line. - - - “
The answer to the Libs is simple: just ask them “Why?”
The Libs “did something.” The damage of their colossal failure is evidence enough that Nationalizing an Industry is devastating to our Nation.
It is now time to get back on the Capitalist, Free Market Track.
That is true with FSA - Flexible spending accounts which is a different critter.
Did anyone else catch Mary Landrieus statement yesterday: We’re going to fix Obamacare...not gut it...not repeal it..not defend it...FIX IT. Denial, denial, denial.
————————————————————————————————The Republican running against Baby Face Landrieu next year needs to get a video of Ms Landrieu stating they’re going to fix it and bombard the Louisiana TV airwaves next fall with Ms Landrieu’s idiotic statement.
...I believe God is blessing Ted Cruz for his faith and courage.
He relishes the fight, but does it in the high-road path of the gentleman he is. He never attacks his opponents personally.

I have a growing respect and admiration for this fine man.
Oh I would LOVE TED CRUZ to march out with BLUE CROSS, ET ALL for a NEWS CONFERENCE!!!! GO TED!!!!
