That’s one way to look at it. Meanwhile, I used to be married to a “mad woman”. Once you get into such a relationship, they will make it ugly no matter what you do. And, sadly, some of them seem really nice until you get into daily living with them.

i.e. you may be condemning him for circumstances beyond his control. His only option to be sure this doesn’t happen is to be a hermit.

I think he still wants a girlfriend. This is complicating a story in which he really needs to man up and get straight and lean on God alone for a while. IMHO. Women troubles can pull down the staunchest guy who gives himself to those ladies. Case in point the historic King Solomon. Wise enough to warn about catting around. Foolish enough to actually do it (even if in a formally acceptable format... come on, do you really need to harem out hundreds of ladies, wise one?)
