Trying to force Reid and Obama to help repeal Obamacare by shutting down the government was a plan that was doomed to failure from the start, and everyone involved knew that.
Instead was more like an extended loyalty test game that united Dems, fractured GOP, and drew all the attention (all negative too) to the GOP by the news media.
Need much better than that to survive as a nation.
Democrat extremists shut down the government. They held the country hostage to their zealous demands that the ill-prepared Obamacare be funded or that nothing be funded.
The Democrats own the Obamacare shutdown.
