In an interview with ABC, Obama said the decision will revolve around Sasha, the President and First Lady Michelle Obama's youngest daughter, who will be a sophomore in high school when he leaves office. Malia, the oldest daughter, will be in college.
"'Cause she's, you know, obviously they - and Michelle - have made a lot of sacrifices on behalf of my cockamamie ideas, the running for office and things," Obama told ABC's Barbara Walters. The interview with the President and First Lady was recorded last week and is scheduled to air Friday evening on the network.

When the US constitution limited the President to age 35 or older, life expectancy was not much beyond 40. In other words, they were in their sunset years and they already had a lifetime of experiences.
Today, a 35 year old may have just begun their career. Perhaps we should raise the age of the Presidency.

Misinformation. See the list. Life expectancy at birth is an entirely different number than life expectancy at 35 or life expectancy, having managed to get elected president.
The shortest lived president was JFK (46 years, 177 days). Second was Garfield (49 years, 304 days). Both those guys got shot. As of now, Zero stands at 3rd shortest-lived (52 years, 117 days).
