Insurers Claim Health Website Is Still Flawed
The New York Times ^ | December 1, 2013 | By ROBERT PEAR and REED ABELSON

“Until the enrollment process is working from end to end, many consumers will not be able to enroll in coverage,” said Karen M. Ignagni, president of America’s Health Insurance Plans, a trade group.

The issues are vexing and complex. Some insurers say they have been deluged with phone calls from people who believe they have signed up for a particular health plan, only to find that the company has no record of the enrollment. Others say information they received about new enrollees was inaccurate or incomplete, so they had to track down additional data — a laborious task that would not be feasible if data is missing for tens of thousands of consumers.

In still other cases, insurers said, they have not been told how much of a customer’s premium will be subsidized by the government, so they do not know how much to charge the policyholder.

No one is going to get a policy until the insurance company is paid up front, period. Obama and Sebaceous can claim the ‘vast majority of people’ can sign up, but that is just bullsh!t.

The only people that are getting all the way thru are the Medicaid assignments. That’s because Unca Sam pay the bill.

Obama has never held a private sector job in his life and has no idea how business works.

He has been a drag on society since he was born.

He is a prototypical “taker” in an Ayn Rand novel.

The Obama has deemed the website fixed and has now moved on.

Any media wishing to remain relevant will report this accordingly.

Unh, the website WASN’T fixed?

And NYT is reporting this? The paper is DOOMED as a “reliable” news source.

Does this mean that a vast portion of the entire population is now going to die off between now and the first day of January 2014?

We NEEDED that fix to work, and now we are all going to DIE.

Considering the whole thing was devised to keep them in business, I’m thinking they should tread lightly. If these guys agitate too much, the next round of health insurance reform won’t include private insurance companies.

“The only people that are getting all the way thru are the Medicaid assignments.”

And there are more people signed up for Obamacare in Delaware and Hawaii (combined) than the number of physicians who are participating in Medicaid come next year.

This administration and their propaganda wing fully realize that just about 50 percent of the American people are total idiots and will endure whatever crap sandwich they serve up to them.
So, the administration claims victory because they have cleaned up some of the on-line screens but no one seems to be getting a policy they are happy with and are assured of their coverage, because they do do not have it until the ins companies are locked in.
The Dec 1st “fixes” are analogous to toasting the top piece of bread on a sandwich and sticking a tooth pick with a pickle on the top. It looks a little more appetizing but its still a crap sandwich.

You’re right. And that shoe hasn’t dropped yet. You can bet your ass that doctors who actually want to stay in business aren’t going to be taking on more Medicaid patients than they have now. Expect to see patient rolls to be frozen before the new year.

I think the insurance companies increasingly realize, that the next round of health insurance reform will be single-payer, government-run health care, REGARDLESS of what the Obama Administration promised them.

Their real website problem won’t be fully evident for a couple more months, namely, given that big chunks of the backend are still not even coded yet, and the transmission of data to the insurance companies is already known to be fatally flawed (thereby requiring manual processing of the data by the insurance companies), it’s highly likely that large numbers of people who THOUGHT they had signed up for insurance will discover that they don’t actually HAVE insurance and will have no way to pay their medical bills.

Or as Jerry Seinfeld might say: “Obama knows how to TAKE the health insurance reservation, he just doesn’t know how to HONOR the health insurance reservation.”

We’ll get single payer healthcare when Corporate America demands it. And that day is not too far off.
