The new head of Chicago's FBI office said Monday he'll look for ways his agents can do more to help stem homicide rates and other violent crimes in the nation's third-largest city, though he added it's not yet clear what more the FBI can do that it's not already doing.
Robert Holley's comments to The Associated Press in one of his first interviews since assuming his new post a month ago come amid calls by Mayor Rahm Emanuel, Illinois' two U.S. senators and others for federal law enforcement to do more to combat violence in Chicago, which has hundreds of homicides each year.
Already, about 25 percent of Chicago agents work violent-crime cases, Holley noted. But given congressional spending constraints, shifting more resources to the gang, gun and drug crimes that underpin much of the violence could jeopardize other investigative priorities in Chicago, including corruption and counterterrorism, he said.
Holley declined to say exactly how many agents in Chicago were assigned to counterterrorism, but he said a greater number is devoted to violent crime.

One way to eliminate gun crime would be the banning of certain groups from owning, possession or having under their control any firearm or sub part thereof. One example of such a group would be illegal aliens right reason would bring the others to mind.
If the Iranians or Norks have to nuke something, let it be Chicago.
Now I am not entirely certain, but I think black criminal may be part of he problem/s
I sent Mayor Rhambo an email telling him to deputize the Million Moms for Gun Control and team them up with ATF agents to go in and clean out the Chicago ghetto guns.
He never replied.....

Gangs are a threat to local communities through street crimes. Almost any threat could be called a threat to our nation in a broad sense; however, gangs are not focused on destroying our nation like terrorists.
Why not simply hang the bastards? That is what we did years ago, and it mostly worked.
What? Chicago has been under rat control for decades. Don’t change anything. It is almost a progressive utopia now.
Maybe we could send Whinstein there for a midnight stroll in the inner city. She will marvel at the effectiveness of the gun control laws.
I got an idea, just put up some basketball hoops up so the youngin’s have something to do rather than shoot each other with guns they are not supposed to have. They are victims, afterall.

“Gun crimes” are a misnomer. Guns do not commit crimes, people commit crimes. Crimes are defined by a person’s actions such as rape or murder. Crime existed long before guns were created.
Furthermore, a person who is willing to break the law by violently assaulting someone or murdering someone would be willing to break the law to obtain guns by criminal means; therefore, laws that ban guns do nothing to stop criminals from obtaining firearms. Those laws only stop people who chose to obey the law. This logic would also apply to illegal aliens since they are already breaking our immigration laws.

If they really wanted to fix the problem they’d revoke all the gun control laws, institute “stand your ground”, and allow the citizens to re-take their city in the way that the Nation’s Founders intended.
Cut off all public assistance, ensure churches are open 24/7, stock church food pantries. Shut down all entertainment and business after 6pm. Hand out a gun to everybody in Chicago. Let happen what will happen—it would all sort out pretty quick.

Sic the FBI on them! That way, the gangs’ video piracy and online gambling will shrink to nothing.

Been a while since you were in Chicago? Cabrini Green has been torn down the neighborhood is full of million dollar townhouses. You still run the risk of getting shot in the street but it is a great location near downtown.
1. are not tempted by idleness - they aren't idle.
2. have something of value, worth protecting, not worth risking with bad behavior.
3. are too tired to roam the streets looking for trouble.
4. have some money - no need to steal it.
5. have some pride & self respect. No need to seek it punching out old people.
Anyone collecting a check from the gubmint, if able, should be required to work 40 hours a week for that check, doing something meaningful for the community that supports them.
For those who prefer crime over work, the nonviolent ones can clear ditches with shovels for life, & the violent ones need hanging from the nearest tree, ASAP.
