Hi Marcella!

I’m back from the summer (July and August anyway) in the mountains but have had lots of wrist & arm pain, so avoid the computer when possible. Dragon is good but not perfect. I figure I need to be in good shape when TSHTF so try to avoid activities that take away from that.

Hubby was not as excited as I was about the generator. In very brief searching, there’s several out there for ~$1500 producing a bit over 1000 MW. The one I saw at Costco wasn’t huge, but I imagine that yes, the batteries must be large to store enough power. Hubby thinks the battery life would be the one downfall, lasting maybe 10 years at the most.

Where you are, these would be awesome. Where we are too, but when we move east - that’ll change things ;( I even saw one that you could buy additional solar panels for AND add a cute little wind turbine to boot! Pretty neat.

Haven’t moved yet - but hubby applied for a job in southern Virginia just last night! He’s got all the qualifications so will hopefully at least get an interview. Keep your fingers crossed for us!
