Yeah, 38 years does seem awfully long. I don’t know exactly how these legal maneuverings work, but I am betting she does not serve more than 2 years.

I hear you. I thirst for justice like most people here, but mercy has to be a component of justice. At least, that is what our forefathers thought (because they came from judicial ruthlessness). 38 years is for some of the worst of our society, and as bad as the victim being 12 years old, this does nothing to address the eroticism that is being jammed down our throats at every turn. Miley Cyrus' antics didn't happen over night; it's been a gradual slide that is picking up speed and degree of declination.

Love the 1st Amendment, but President Washington acknowledged that only a moral and religious citizenry were able to self-govern.
