Boehner not taking it anymore from conservative groups

House Speaker John Boehner is fed up with relentless criticism from outside conservative groups questioning his leadership and blasting a bipartisan budget proposal -- and he's not taking it anymore.

"I don't care what they do," Boehner said when asked on Thursday whether his rhetorical flogging of these tea party backed groups over the past two days amounted to a directive for them to cool it.

Boehner said on Wednesday that they were "misleading their followers." On Thursday, he escalated the rhetoric and effectively dismissed them.

"Frankly, I just think that they've lost all credibility."

The public dressing down made headlines, but it also was a political pivot.

Credibility.1 : the quality or power of inspiring belief Boehner certainly inspires a belief in me A belief that he will fold up like a cheap card table. A belief that he is in Obama's pocket A belief that he is the most incompetent Speaker ever. A belief that his balls were taken from him the day he became a Congressman, or that he never had any to begin with.

Boehner singing to his base: Twisted Sister: We're not gonna take it any more

Methinks it's more of a Tea Party Anthem...

The Congressional Republicans have one backbone among them. They let members check it out occasionally when it’s needed to impress the conservative folks back home.

John Boehner’s different though. He uses it to attack conservatives.

Here's Erick Erickson's explanation for the Speaker's bewildering actions .....

On John Boehner’s Temper Tantrum

John Boehner is trying to get the “us vs. them” battle lines drawn before primary season. He needs those lines drawn because he is about to move on to the immigration fight. To get to that fight, he has to take on the conservative movement in a number of primaries around the country.

His temper tantrum today had very little to do with the present fight, but the next fight. Boehner needs to draw fence sitters to him, make conservative groups unpopular, and then dare the fence sitters to go sit with the unpopular crowd during the immigration fight.

He’s been staffing up for the immigration fight in the House. Today, he fired the first real shots in that battle.

Boehner really showed his tukus. If I had any favor left for republicans his tantrum certainly killed it. His bar stories are wearing thin, too.

Conservatives go to Johnny Boehner’s house to ask his mother if he can come out play.

His mommy says, you know Johnny has no arms or legs.

Conservatives respond, that’s okay we need a third base.

Man, Boehner was really assertive when he replied, “Are you kidding.” Gotta admit-—Boehner’s finally getting ballsy...too bad he used conservative Republicans to practice on.

Course, that’s a Christie MO—his advice to Repubs——reason why he slaughtered Democrats, he says.

Now we should keep our eye on “The Prize” rather than Boehner’s blatherings fueled by old demon rum.

The Prize?

That would be totally annihilating liberalism and trampling Democrats in 2014, and beyond.

This is what I would do. In the republican primary I would complain that the RINO doesn’t belong there because he really is a democrat. Run ads, do interviews and explain the RINO’s position as leftwing.

Let the RINO defend it.

I am not taking this back and forth over this budget the least bit seriously.

Right now I wasnt to see Dems get a major licking in 2014 election, and see what Obama, Reid, Wassman Schultz and the others say after they are humilated at the polls.

"I don't care what they do," Boehner said when asked on Thursday whether his rhetorical flogging of these tea party backed groups over the past two days amounted to a directive for them to cool it."

And we don't take directives from mush-mouthed, weak-kneed, compromising "Republicans", either, Johnny. You'd better care what we do. There are millions of us and perpetuation of your own power and influence depends not on the moderates you love so much, but us.

Maybe I misunderstood where Ol’ John was coming from w/ his outspoken comments. I thought he was referring to conservative organizations...not conservative voters or house members. I thought John was po’d because these organizations were saying they didn’t support a proposal they didn’t know the details of...and these organizations were pressuring house members to vote against a bill they didn’t even know enough about to make a decision.

Don’t get me wrong...I think ol’ cryin’ John needs to be replaced. But me personally...I want a rep who believes in conservative values and doesn’t need any ‘organization’ to tell him/her which way to vote or to guide them on the ‘correct’ policy. I want my Rep to KNOW what’s right, stand by what’s the right thing to do...and then do the right thing. I want a Rep who stands up for the voters of their state...not kowtow to some Washington DC ‘think tank’.

Mmmmmmmm.....enchanting scenario. Makes all my dreams come true.

In other words,

If you think for one minute that we will ever stop enslaving our youth in perpetual debt and an ever increasing devaluation of our dollar, to pay for OUR WANTS AND DESIRES TODAY, You are CRAZY. Involuntary Servitude is the only way we can pay for these things. Get over it.
