EDITORIAL: The Potemkin website The Obamacare facade is beginning to crumble
The Washington Times ^ | 12-12-13 | Editorial Board

Oppressive regimes throughout history have built cities of false facades meant to impress from afar, concealing the embarrassing condition of the places. In its quest to persuade Americans that Obamacare is working, the Obama administration has built the most expensive Potemkin website yet.

Rep. Darrell E. Issa, chairman of the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee, wants to bulldoze the facade of Healthcare.gov to find what lies beneath, but Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius is telling her aides they better keep quiet, or else. In a Dec. 6 letter to Creative Computing Solutions, she instructed the Healthcare.gov construction workers not to talk to Congress.

The directive could be considered a crime. “The federal obstruction laws,” Mr. Issa wrote in a letter Wednesday, “reflect the fact that Congress‘ right of access to information is constitutionally based and critical to the integrity and effectiveness of our oversight and investigative activities.”

Behind the smiling faces on the front end of the Obamacare website are millions who’ve been cast into the cold as new health care mandates are designed to demolish existing insurance. Pressed about the cancellations, Mrs. Sebelius told a congressional panel that Americans are “thrilled” at the choices they now have with Obamacare. But not quite everyone. Jim Hoft, a conservative blogger, recently found that a strep bacteria was eating a hole in his heart, causing a series of strokes. His private insurance allowed him to go to the doctors at St. Louis University, who saved his life.

I wonder if he has standing to sue.

I wonder if members of Congress can be sued for things said and done outside of Congress.

I wonder if we can ever take back our country.

I wonder if God has turned His back on us, as we have done to Him.

I wonder....

Similar to many of the major cities in the U.S. who have black leadership (Detroit, Balitmore, etc.), odumbo is dragging the nation into the same type cess pool those cities are flounding in. There should be a law agains’t such “leadership”.

“The directive could be considered a crime”

Ooooh—a crime. With no one to bring the b to justice. It’s rather like obamination writing and amending his laws without the approval of Congress.

Sibelius is colluding with HHS aides to "keep quiet" about Obamacare's multiple missteps.

INCONVENIENT FACTOID: Sibelius is using govt office to commit crime(s).

Rep Issa: “...federal obstruction laws reflect the fact that Congress‘ right of access to information is constitutionally-based and critical to the integrity and effectiveness of our oversight and investigative activities.”

=================================================

Hah---as if the Obamatons recogize our laws and critical constitutional imperatives. The whole lot of them are lawless bums.

The billion dollar flopola website---the botched rollout---the pricey Rube Goldberg fix-its---are bad enough. Americans have yet to see the wreckage Boobama and his cockamamie healthcare have wreaked upon our beloved country.

Clearly---opportunistic Boobamba does not see himself as the constitutional-restrained president of a thriving, free republic---he sees America as a means to his ends----and striving Americans merely as tools to finance those HE deems deserving.

In his befuddled mind, Boobamba represent the ne'er do wells, slackers, layabeds, dumbos, ignoramuses, gutter snipes, bums and pan-handlers.....and a handful of deserving people who slipped through the cracks. He easily duped these ignorants on food stamps that they could payoff mortgages.

THANKS, ABE Musta been a shock to realize "you can fool some of the people, some of the time, but not all of the people, all of the time."

He is NOT befuddled. He is a constitutional expert. He has studied long and apparently very hard to find the chinks and weaknesses in the document aided and abetted by a compliant party, a fawning press and totally ignorant populace.

He is not a liar, he told you /us over and over he would fundamentally change America.

He is doing exactly that.

I hate and despise him for it...but he is not a befuddled dunce like Joe Biden. This man is pure evil of heart.

What I cannot get over is how the dumblecrats stay in his corner pushing the dismantling of this nation. And doing it gleefully.

Demand the enemy to sign the terms of surrender before enforcing those militarily is a Sun Tzu tactic. It is a casus belli but none dare counter it.

It has always been said that hindsight is 20/20 and foresight is an educated/uneducated guess. This time though foresight is not a guess and for what is coming those having voted democrat have nobody but themselves to blame when it all comes crumbling down. One also has to know that the democrats will do everything in their power to postpone the crumbling down till republicans take over the senate and the presidency, so that they may point at the republicans when it all comes crumbling down and say ... "Look what the republicans did!" Anyone having continuing faith in this zer0 crowd is growing scared. All Americans are growing scared. zer0care is only one of the symptoms of what the democrats have done to this nation. The democrats know their best hope is to change the time-line of the crumbling down, if is possible, and the democrats will certainly try to do just that so that they may blame what is coming on the republicans. I do not want to rant further and am holding back what I really think so as not to scare myself and others. Will say further once more that zer0care is doing exactly as it was designed to do and the democrats know this but are lying to attempt to cover up the truth.

Sorry for the rant, Liz. My rant was not directed at you.

Why do dumblecrats stay in his corner pushing the dismantling of this nation. And doing it gleefully?

Party (ahem) loyalty----Dems spout the party line, or else.

Besides, he bought them all off w/ hefty fededral payouts.*

Plus he still has the power to dole out federal jobs w/ high pay, endless perks, and heft pensions.....when the voters unceremoniously vote them out of office. AND he has the means to facilitate Dem voter fraud where needed.

================================================

* Sen Mary Landrieu (Dimwit-LA) started to pull away when she saw her seat was in jeopardy---but got back in line.

Landrieu is running in a state where Obama, and his health care reform, are highly unpopular .....AND they got her on tape in the well of the Senate parroting Obama's infamous lie, "If you like your plan, you can keep your plan." Louisiana voters need to be reminded that Landrieu supported nationalizing 1/6 of our economy.

THE LANDRIEU PAPER TRAIL IS HUGE Landrieu sold her aye vote for a "hefty price." Landrieu was bought off in what Forbes Magazine dubbed "The 'Louisiana Purchase" that included a massive $4.3 Billion to Landrieu.

<><> Where's the $4.3 billion, Mary?

FORBES REPORTED the Democrats’ nailed Landrieu’s support for Obamacare w/ a greenback bribe. Landrieu, critics believe, pledged her vote in exchange for some $200 million more additional federal funds for Louisiana. Except that, due to a drafting error, the law ended up giving Louisiana $4.3 billion: more than twenty times the assigned amount. MORE HERE http://www.forbes.com/fdc/welcome_mjx.shtml

How $4.3 billion to Landrieu was attached to the Obamacare bill, and how Obama and Reid failed to catch and fix it, is yet annother indictment of the Obamacare atrocity. The payoff to Landrieu should be investigated as an indication of how EVERY Democrat came to vote for Obamacare.

<><> Where's the $4.3 billion, Mary?

BACKSTORY In the fall of 2009, Sen. Harry Reid (D-Nev.) was trying to get the necessary 60 Dimocrat votes to pass the Affordable Care Act. He needed every Dim on board, which gave waffling senators a great deal of leverage. In Landrieu's case, she connivingly saw that selling her aye vote could get her maybe $200 million federal dollars. Obama complied--- Reid chalked up another vote for Obamacare---and the $4.3 Landrieu giveaway was attached to the Obamacare bill.

<><> Where's the money, Mary?

His game has always been Alinskiesque demoralization. You are white, you must be incapable of not being racist. You are a man, you must be sexist and out to demean women.

It is a bigotry that idiot Americans are accepting and virtually confessing, listening to this guy’s lectures. It also is a sort of superioristic ideal. Progressism is much like a pure race concept, not a tradional fantasy one, but a science fiction like evolved race belief. The rest are considered subhumans of the 1800s.

It is obvious now that the demoralization of communism is that we are not good enough as individuals, we need communism. We are not worthy and our voice of criticism is backwards. We must bow to the opinion makers.

Modus operandi of the left.

When a republican is President, get rid of the AG so they can commit crimes with no oversight.

When a democrat is President, the AG circles the wagons so no one gets prosecuted.

Republican AG’s are brilliant jurists. Democrat AG’s are incompetent ideological boobs.

Boobamba and AG Holder are taking the Dem MO to a whole new level. In his new book "Extortion" author Peter Schweitzer writes about Obo and Holder, using the Justice Dept and assorted govt agencies to extort Big Money ....threatening jailtime unless the targets fork over billions.

US ‘robs’ $13B from venerable bank / By Mark DeCambre, Oct 19, 2013

JPMorgan Chase has tentatively agreed to pay (Holder's) Dept of Justice a record $13 billion settlement to resolve several civil probes — a costly deal that still doesn’t protect the bank against additional criminal prosecutions.

“This is a basic and fundamental attack on capitalism,” declared Dick Bove, an influential bank analyst at Rafferty Capital. “It is possible that the government is taking away the property of the JPMorgan shareholders without the shareholders having committed any crime or having any say in the expropriation of these funds.” The deal also includes an undisclosed sum to settle a civil suit brought by NY state AG.

Under the settlement, JPMorgan must continue to cooperate with federal investigators probing the banking giant’s issuance of mortgage-backed securities from 2005 to 2007, according to sources.

Still to be ironed out are how to resolve that criminal investigation, along with the wording of any admissions of culpability the feds might require.

The general terms of the settlement deal were forged Friday in a phone conversation between Attorney General Eric Holder and JPMorgan CEO Jamie Dimon, The WSJ reported.

Analysts called the settlement a raw deal given that, by JPMorgan’s own estimate, some 80 percent of its mortgage-backed securities had been acquired at the request of the Obama-led government, when it bought Bear Stearns and Washington Mutual in 2008. “Ultimately, the earnings power of banks is being force-regulated out the (SEC), by the Department of Justice,” Kass added.

The settlement sum includes $4 billion that JPMorgan agreed this month to pay the Federal Housing Finance Agency to resolve allegations that the bank misled mortgage-finance companies Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac about the quality of loans it sold them prior to the 2008 financial crisis, the Journal reported.

Witness the twisted deranged progressive mind at work. As a community organizer, Obama sued banks to give out mtges to the underemployed----food stamps and SSI were considered "income." Now, as president, he's suing the same banks for "predator lending"---for burdening the ne'er do well with mtges he facilitated----that the nabe neer do wells can't possibly pay off.
