It’s completely disappeared down the memory hole, but quite a few white men were lynched, about 1/3 of the total, if I remember correctly. It was not an exclusively racial phenomenon.

Just as there were thousands of blacks who owned slaves. Some even sold their own children into slavery. Inconvenient facts.

Quite true. Now some large percentage of blacks who “owned” slaves had bought their spouses or children out of slavery and were not allowed by the state laws to free them legally.

IOW, there are layers upon layers of caveats to this entire discussion. And we need to keep in mind the difference in scale between black and white ownership of slaves in this country.

I am sure she has NEVER EVER EVER been told, and she was too lazy to find out, white people have been lynched throughout history. If she really wants to go see the reality of black lynchings send her on an all expense paid trip to Africa with some old tires and a can of gasoline.

Ok. So, by the official numbers, blacks kill more people each and every 2.1875 years than the number of blacks killed or lynched by whites over the past one hundred years.

Are more than half the murderers known or identified?

I'd guess most of the "white" people who killed most of the other white people in recent years have been "white hispanics" recently arrived from south of the border.

The actors who played along with the bigot should get a good whipping. Black racism is real and it is hellishly dangerous to pretend it is not. No different than pretending the KKK is an “art” club.

The suggestion of doing this with the races reversed would get the person arrested.

If she REALLY is concerned about racial violence she should make some sort of “art” about the cowardly knock-knock thugs.

if she really wanted to show the social injustices and issues that impacts her and her community, then perhaps she should have show the black on black crime scenes of daily life in "her community"

Typical black racist. Nothing intelligent about them. IF that’s what she desires through such expression she might want to study then rethink what history has to say to her about racial violence...whites can be extremely violent when need be.

In a college art class many years ago, I made a peace symbol out of spent shotgun shells. The libs thought it was brilliant social commentary on how we should turn our backs on our warlike tendencies and embrace peace. I purposely didn’t post the title anywhere at the exhibit. The title was “Peace Through Strength”. ;)

Yes, some of the blacks who owned slaves had bought their wives out of slavery. But there were thousands of black slave owners. Some of them were slave breeders who impregnated their slaves and sold their offspring.

BTW there were 3,000 black slave owners in New Orleans alone.

Maybe when reparations were signed into law we’ll need DNA tests.
