A modern day Edison has a bright idea: a way to keep the incandescent bulb burning brightly, despite a government law set to go into effect New Years Day that effectively outlaws the most commonly used lightbulbs.
Most bulbs, that is. Not those made by lightbulb savior Larry Birnbaum.
When the government decided to ban incandescent lightbulbs, they left a loophole in the law. An opening, Birnbaum told FoxNews.com. What that was was rough service.

That's pretty much of a deal killer for me right there. Yeah, I flip the "on" switch and then I have to WAIT for it to turn on?
The color absolutely sucks. No way.
I want a spectrum created by the Boltzmann distribution, not some phony electronic transitions slapped together by psychologists at MegaTechCorp’s marketing department.
I have several hundred 60-watters in the basement. That’ll be enough (I hope) for either (a) this dumb law to be repealed or circumvented, or (b) a decent fit to the black-body curve to be accomplished by LEDs and phosphors.
Yeah. I just came back from a shopping expedition to a particularly good 99 cent store, where I stocked up big-time on 25W tubular incandescent bulbs. Typical of the libtards to not consider unforeseen consequences of their bans and schmans. How are my little lizards supposed to keep warm and bask without incandescent heat-producing bulbs? Dimtards!

Weird have no problems and I’m sure going to buy from them.
And don’t forget Lava Lamps!
They need heat and light :-)
I love the color, especially in my shop. 6500K full daylight, just like God designed light to be.
I remember Rush interviewing this guy when he became an advertiser on the program. Didn’t he buy an old lightbulb facility that had been shutdown because of the cutback in incandescents?

Any auto parts store should have these rough service bulbs.

But it doesn't look like daylight.
Are you posting from a planet that is orbiting Procyon? It has a surface temperature of 6,530 ± 50 K, and is only 11.46 light-years distant. Radiates quite a lot of UV, so don’t forget to wear sunscreen when you go out. At least SPF of 550,000,000 I should think.
The manufacturers are marketing compact fluorescent lamps at 2700K as similar to incandescents since they are closer to the red end of the spectrum like an incandescent.
6500K are available, but not commonly available and the cost is much more than 4100K. The metal halides you see at warehouse stores run around 5000K.
I was up in Quebec City last early winter, before holidays. They use the energy efficient bulbs there. The whole city is murky. It looks lit but the light doesn’t travel far.
Murky cities, that is the leftist dream for us.
