Ex-CIA director: Snowden should be ‘hanged’ if convicted for treason
Fox ^ | Dec 17 2013 | Lucas Tomlinson

Former CIA Director James Woolsey had harsh words Tuesday for anyone thinking about giving Edward Snowden amnesty, and argued the NSA leaker should be “hanged” if he’s ever tried and convicted of treason.

Woolsey, along with former Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Gen. Hugh Shelton, spoke Tuesday in Washington in an interview with Fox News.

“I think giving him amnesty is idiotic,” Woolsey said. “He should be prosecuted for treason. If convicted by a jury of his peers, he should be hanged by his neck until he is dead."

So, the top secret agencies are so screwed up that they left ports on firewalls open so some low level contractor with no real formal IT education could walk in and copy the entire database?

If I understand it correctly, Snowden was literally The Smartest Guy In The Room, as opposed to Barack "Corpseman" O****, Dimmest Bulb In The Sh*tter when he was by himself.

How do you feel about the Rosenbergs? Should we build them a monument now?

Nice strawman. Not sure that the Rosenbergs kept a copy of the Constitution on their desks, like Edward "TreasonBoy" Snowden did...

> “I don’t care who knows about those things in my life.”

The fact that you don’t give a damn about your own privacy or your fourth amendment rights doesn’t mean I or anyone else have to acquiesce to your level of ignorance and apathy. You don’t get to choose for others what constitutional rights can be violated.

Former Top NSA Official: “We Are Now In A Police State”

http://www.zerohedge.com/contributed/2013-12-18/former-top-nsa-official-%E2%80%9Cwe-are-now-police-state%E2%80%9D

The NSA also ships Americans’ most confidential, sensitive information to foreign countries like Israel (and here), the UK and other countries … so they can “unmask” the information and give it back to the NSA … or use it for their own purposes.

Did George Washington lie about his war wounds?

Lie in testimony to Congress?

You sound like a leftist. Snowden comitted treason and should be executed.

When the SHTF, my "targets" of choice will be the pig-headed law and order conservatives who allowed these things to happen.

“That plane literally passed within less that a mile of my house and the explosion of it hitting the Pentagon shook it.”

So, how would spying on me and people like me have prevented that? If nobody gives a damn about my phone conversations, why record them? The NSA needs to be brought back into control and I do not buy that they have stopped anything by spying on Americans.

COMPLETELY my bad. I thought you were congratulating Mad Max for his earlier Snowden-bashing, and didn't actually track back to the comment you were responding to.

Indeed, Kerry is a liar and traitor, and I concur with your original post, and retract my post to you.

Go F yourself!

So, you have a problem with people who like to use the Constitution as a reference to daily life?

You're completely correct. John F Kerry is a lying piece of treasonous crap. Woolsey should direct his attentions to that hunk of dog dung.

Woolsey, Clapper and every politician in Washington should be up there first.

Many of us suspected, and knew in our hearts, what he told the world.

Sadly, Snowden’s fear has come true. The reaction by the people isn’t even a ripple.

To #189: NSA does other things besides record the phone or email messages of the average American. Problem is, what they do that is right is classified. That is why I can’t comment on something I was involved in where the NSA did something that could have been very important. (I don’t know the results because I wasn’t involved in that effort, only something tangentially related to it).

My point is and always has been, you must know your area of work, have a mindset that is open to everything and every possibility, and then plan accordingly. The NSA got too involved in being a “super information scoop” instead of a “targetted” one.

That is why an automatic weapon also has a single-fire capability. You don’t want to waste your all your ammo one one target unless it is absolutely necessary.

Thanks to Snowden, the enemy is now way ahead of the US in that it knows our operational techniques and targets with more specificity than ever. Part of the game is to confuse the enemy with decoy operations (it happens on both sides).

The NSA forgot to concentrate on real targets and aimed at all the targets, real or imagined. Not a smart way to run that organization.

Signal Intelligence was perhaps the most important single technological weapon of WW2 (Ultra program) and later “Venona” re Soviet ops in the US and England. But human intelligence, such as “Coast Watchers”, aerial patrols, “The Man Who Never Was”, “Die Rote Orkestra”, the fake military units in England and related operations (both human and electric), and spies on the ground (Jedburgs/OSS, SAS, etc)., also played major roles in defeating the Germans and Japanese (as Adm. Yamamoto learned the hard way).

These were all “targetted” operations, not scatter-gun shooting into the night. Again, it was the mindset that allowed these programs to go through and become successful. No “snipe hunts”.

Today, it is too many “snipe hunts” and not enough human intelligence, and common sense thinking. But then again, the Obama administration doesn’t really give a damn at the higher levels, and our eunuchs running the JCS and esp. the Navy don’t even know who the enemy is.

Therein lies the problem. Until you define our enemies (Communism, rogue states, Islamic jihadists, criminal operations - drug cartels), you will be shooting into the dark.

Maybe a new Congress in 2014 will begin to correct the major flaws in our strategic THINKING and PLANNING. Until then, expect another USS Cole, or Benghazi, or suicide attacks on American targets/people overseas.

We ALREADY KNEW this was going on - remember Project Eschelon? Snowden just CONFIRMED it, and fleshed out the details. BOTTOM LINE: If they can lie and cover up the truth shoot-down of TWA Flight 800, they can lie and cover up ANYTHING. Maybe the story of the killing of Osama Bin Laden is a hoax, too.

QUESTION: How is it that the NSA is so good at this high-tech spying, when the Fed.gov can’t even build a simple retail website like Healthcare.gov? Something does not add up here. Could the failure of Obamacare be itself a hoax?
