They probably got one hell of a deal from someone to put the new building there. The existing facilities in Montezuma are not exactly a long way from I-80 to begin with, but maybe they wanted more than one basket for all the eggs and now they have some leverage.

I used to get all my shooting supplies from a local, family-owned brick and mortar store that went back to the early 1900s, but in the late '70s or early '80s they moved from downtown to a modern building out on the highway. At the same time, they decided that overdecorated athletic shoes and overpriced sweatshirts were the future - and apparently they were - so their original hunting/fishing business became essentially an appendix. With no other sources near to hand, I turned to Brownell's. It's kind of hard for me to believe I have been their customer for thirty years. Time flies.

Amen. I've been a Brownells customer since the late '70s.
First came to know about them via Shotgun News.
Darn good company & folks.
