what real objective journalists would do would discuss how while firearms deaths in 2013 are’as low as they were in 2013, consider that in light of how many guns criminals, law-abiding citizens, leos, govt agencies, and the military all have. consider further the much larger population in the us today.

the proper conclusion is in geneal, people are safer, are the opposite of generally reckless, or trying to stir up trouble with their guns. they are responsible and they use them for defensive purposes, and may even try to do what they can to avoid having to use them.

......if I’m a professional burglar that can read, I would read that tens of millions of people are arming themselves (buying guns and ammos). Then, if by some miracle I had some logic too, I might deduce that “boy, more of these houses I’m bustin into have folks in them with a gun”. I better find another profession.

A professional 7 Eleven robber, or bank robber, might say “Whoa, I’m gonna run outta that bank and 100 citizens are gonna open fire on my ass”.

Back to me, I read somewhere recently that violent crime was down 30%. Damn right it is cuz there are fewer and fewer and fewer gun free zones and unarmed people. I bought an AR 15 last week! The clerk at the small gun store said they sell twelve a day.

So, there is no question in my mind that more guns in the hands of law abiding citizens reduces crime across the board and makes the world a safer place for the cops.
