Trump is a “clown candidate” like Alan Keyes.

Yes, proof. Show me one place where I've indicated that I would stay home to "send a message"? You may have jumped to that conclusion, but had you read ALL of this thread, you'd have already known it was a very wrong one.

I've actually read your responses. Upthread, you said that I vote based on "purity" by refusing to give a RINO my vote, but you vote for the RINO based on practicality.

As you are so practical, then, you must be able to tell me what you are voting FOR when you vote for the RINO. Not what you're voting against, but what you're voting FOR.

Please tell me what one is voting FOR when one votes for the RINO.

and skipping a line on the ballot sends a message too ...

... of surrender.

Votes count. Men died so we could vote, so I feel it is my duty to make the best use I can WITH my vote, rather than pretend it wasn't even there, or regarding it as powerless, useless, which is what not voting does.

When a liberal president goes into the White House with it known to the nation and the world that the majority of Americans rejected him at the ballot box, as Clinton did both times, he is made weak and liberalism is put on notice in both major parties. Even though Clinton had the MSM on his side, he was slammed by the Republican Revolution and then impeached. Conservatism was strengthened, liberalism was put on defense.

When you surrender and don't even use your vote, the message is just that: "Oh, to hell with it." You could have used that vote to vote for a plurality.

[Staying home and not voting] really doesn’t accomplish anything. There should be conservatives SOMEWHERE on your ballot that have earned a vote. At the same time, more and more of us have decided not to waste votes on liberal Republicans any more.

Amen, amen, amen.

Since Ronald Reagan, we have nominated Bob Dole, John McCain, Mitt Romney and an assortment of amiable Bushes.

I do not think we need to be adding Chris Christie to this list. I think we need to nominate another Ronald Reagan conservative-type.
