Unfortunately every tax levied on a business is passed onto the consumer who buys the product, just as the cost of the raw materials and employees wages are considered in the final price of every product sold.

No, I didn’t say. Snopes said. I merely quoted their article. (What they said does happen to be true, however.)

If you go to the link I included in my post, and actually READ it, you’ll find that Snopes agrees with you — taxes “paid” by a business are typically passed on to the consumer in the form of higher prices.
