The packet is unusual because members of the Senate generally do not involve themselves heavily in the internal affairs of the House as a matter of protocol. Sessions has recently shown a new willingness to challenge Boehner in this regard, creating an interesting political dynamic beyond the explosive immigration debate. This is good. Sen Cruz has been known to spend time shoring up the defenses of skittish House Republicans as well. It's a shame that the one body of govt where Republicans hold the majority needs such hand-holding to stand up to a light-weight crybaby like Boehner.

Thank goodness for those fearless conservative warriors in the House and Senate who are willing to fight the good fight.
