I may be mistaken here But I thought someone in California voted for de salinization plants and the plans were stalled due to some manner of interference..already.
I’m in commifornia. They gov will spend hundreds of billions on a boondoggle of a high speed train but do nothing about a drought situation. Why not spend the billions on desalination plants?
Desalination is less the issue than releasing water from reservoirs so that a bait fish in the delta is happy.
If people understood how much water has been wasted to make “environmentalists” happy.

Anyway, thei thing is, while the drought is a real, natural event, the current water shortage is entirely man-made. The environmentalist wackos who created that shortage need to be held accountable.
