Where the GOP-e is astoundingly (or rather distressingly) successful is driving wedge issues within their own party in the most inopportune of times.
Rush was talking about this today... his theory is the GOP-e either doesn’t want to win the majority or is OK with winning, but not by too large a margin. They’re fearful of the responsibilities of leading.
Pennsylvania puts that theory to rest. This arrived today...
