BREAKING: Yellowstone’s Supervolcano Belly Rumbling
A Sheep No More ^ | 2/3/14 | Andrew Pontbriand

Posted on 02/04/2014 8:24:36 PM PST by Mike Darancette

A seismometer inside a borehole at Yellowstone National Park has begun reporting staggering underground activity near the southwest corner of Yellowstone Lake, possibly signaling the beginning of an eruption of the Super Volcano at the Yellowstone National Park

Yellowstone National Park is home to many beauties, with it’s ancient landscape, geysers, and hot springs. It is also the site of one of the worlds most destructive forces. A supervolcano.

So what happened last time it erupted. Did it form a mountain or crater.

The scarp on the east side of the road from the reservoir was about ten feet high. The east side of the dam was visibly lower. Below “quake lake” to the north, some campers were killed in their tent when overrun by a giant boulder. Many campers died when the side of the hill slid into quake lake. The corps of engineers had to figure out how to stabilize, then drain quake lake before it had a cataclysmic failure, which they accomplished.

“It is the Pyroclastic flow that will kill the most people, not the magma....”

Those are the lucky ones. Those of us outside the initial kill zone will die off after a few years of no crop production in the grain belt (buried under feet of ash), and limited production of the rest of the world’s harvest because of the nuclear winters.

There will be survivors, but I would imagine not too many. 10%?? 20%??? of the world’s population would survive??? (I’m guessing there are studies on this.)

I have a park service book from the early 60’s about that quake that I bought when visiting there. Lots of devastation.

In a historic massive eruption event, it’s possible boulders the size of homes would rain down on the surrounding 5 or 6 states. This just isn’t a volcano, but a super volcano.

Do you suppose that could damage your hearing? :-)

Nothing will.

Well... a space shuttle ready to be launched sitting on the pad would work pretty good.
