Without making judgement (for only God knows truly what is in each man’s heart) I think this testimony is fascinating:

Such visions are common in NDEs. Heaven or hell or both, and they are promises and warnings. It’s in keeping with the philosophy of Hebrews which IMHO is referring to microcosms of chastisement before one’s actual final exit from life. The Lord will call a saved believer short if he begins to act like hell, by showing him what hell is like. (Also in keeping with Paul’s “delivered to Satan for destruction of flesh so that soul may be saved in the day of Christ Jesus.”) If it was a NDE it was not a final exit. God isn’t caught uncoordinated here. It’s all folded into a coherent plan. Some say predestination, and perhaps a better term would be “out-destination.” Our reality is already of eternal scope, and time is but the stage on which it plays out visibly in the mortal coil. Again we lack the terminology to describe this with any accuracy and the attempt to do so in mortal terms only results in the locking of Calvinist and Arminian horns.
