Obama: 'That's the Good Thing as a President, I Can Do Whatever I Want'
The Weekly Standard ^ | 10 Feb 2014 | DANIEL HALPER

President Obama "quipped" today during a visit to Monticello with the French president, "That's the good thing as a President, I can do whatever I want."

Via the pool report:

Monticello

At 4:45 POTUS and president Hollande walked out from a portico and strolled in Front of your pool with Leslie Bowman, president of the Monticello Foundation. Looking at a terrace she said that Jefferson loved to admire the landscape from there. POTUS said that he'd like to take a look and seemed delighted to "break the protocol". "That's the good thing as a President, I can do whatever I want" he quipped, walking to the terrace with his guest and Ms. Bowman. Pool now in the mansion as the leaders will come and visit Jefferson's study.

The comment came around the time the White House announced it would be delaying the Obamacare mandate for some businesses unilaterally.

The French president is here in the U.S. on a state visit.

More notes from the pool:

Monticello POTUS and pres Hollande paid a short visit to the study as your pool was looking through an alcove over president Jefferson's bed. They admired contraptions invented by Jefferson to read and write more efficiently such as a lectern and a "polygraph". Hollande noticed that one of the books was written in French.

Whatever it takes to put an end to this ahole must be done, either asylum or at the end of a rope. When aholes like this get all cocky and full of themself, it's time to deal with them. obozo is in our faces, and lovin’ it. His time will come...there are tooo many of us and their numbers are dwindling. Pray to God for guidance, and act like soldiers, like boots on the ground in this war of our lifetime, with an enemy on OUR soil.

Boehner and McConnell must also be blamed for caving to the enemy. I pray that each gets what they deserve...they sold us out for greed and power...so let's pay em’ back.

Spoken like someone who reveres the office. He treats it like it's a FastPass at Disneyland.

What's not to hate about obozo. And now to think that everywhere that “Mary (obozo) went, the lamb (Reggie Love) was sure to go. Gee, I wonder if the Mooch is invited...let's ask her if she's going with her “husband” and his boyfriend?

No, actually it is not. The American public has shown they are willing to overlook just about anything. The man is untouchable. The country is full of apathetic morons.

Sorry to disagree with you, but for that is true, but give it time, not today, or tomorrow, but give it time, it will come, mark my words.

Jefferson's epitaph notably omits the fact that he had been President of the United States.

The largest part of the Declaration of Independence lists the ways that King George III had violated the rights of the colonists--but most of King George's actions are trivial compared to the sorts of things the current administration does on a daily basis (with the complicity of most of the media).

BUMP!

______________

Whenever the rare opportunity to reduce the size of the Spendaholic Federal Government approaches a decision point, the unchallenged and therefore invincible Obamanation Congressional Format, ( OCF ), unfolds flawlessly as follows:

* Permissive, weak and cowardly Speaker “Doormat” Boehner proclaims that THIS time he will protect and defend the US Constitution;
* “Assistant Doormat” Cantor will nod like the bobble head lap dog that he is;
* Cave-In, Con-Artist Ryan will make a side deal with his Pelosi Pals;
* “Rubberstamp” Reid will then approve whatever the Pelosi Pals have shamed Ryan into ramming through the House;
* Lazy, Anti-Work Obama will say “The OCF worked again! That was sooooo EASY!”
* The Left Stream Media will gently boo Boehner, while mildly applauding his “Bipartisan” Leadership;
* “Doormat” Boehner will then slink off sobbing, relieved that he dodged another major tongue-lashing from the Left Stream Media;
* Karl Rove will go on FOX and say “The Moderate House Republicans are showing that they are willing to work with Obama;”
* Krauthammer will go on FOX and say “Unbelievable;”
* The Conservative voters will say:
*** “Yup, permissive RINOs are no match for the Commies, Socialists and Democrats in Congress.
*** We are doomed to feel sorry for ourselves, again.
*** What shall we do?
*** Sigh - - - - .”

BTW, Boehner, Cantor and Ryan are all heavily favored to win re-election to their well-worn House seats in 2014 - - - - .

Hopefully losses of RINOS elsewhere will cripple them.

You’ve nailed their script EXACTLY.

Problem is, the script is fooling fewer + fewer people.

The stage-play is no longer convincing.

Half of Congress is dirty and belongs in prison with ‘president’ Shabazz, Holder, Pelosi, McCain, Boehner, Ryan, Cantor, AND THE REST.
