It’s not too late to send an expedition to the middle of the Great Lakes! hehe
It’s weather, not climate people.
If it’s cold, it’s just weather, and that’s not climate. If it’s warm, then it’s a climatological trend.
So sayeth Algore.
As soon as hell freezes over we know we have had it.
Why do you people always insist that catastrophic global warming actually result in it getting warmer? The nerve of some people. You idiot conservatives will wait until we all freeze to death to finally acknowledge global warming ....
Do you have to go to ice school to become an ice expert?
“Perhaps the warmists will scuba dive to find the warm water in Lake Superior. I’ll be happy to contribute some lead weights to the expedition.”
It’s far to deep for scuba gear, but I would be happy to donate some lead for their journey.
As soon as it does you know that there are loons dying to skate the length of it — never to be heard from again.
Gonna gets me a job as an “ice expert”.
Time to go fill up my SUV and drive around for awhile. Just doing my part to save the world.
Yup. It’s all due to global warming.
I like your thinking! I’ll gladly chip in!
Actually, and somewhat paradoxically, the world’s levels of sea ice have been dropping in the past couple of months. Last year, they were actually above the 40-year average, but they recently dropped below it. Maybe it’s because the extreme cold weather has shifted south and the Arctic sea ice hasn’t expanded as much as during a normal winter.
“The ice cover on the largest freshwater lake in the world hit a 20-year record of 91 percent on Feb. 5, 1994. ...”
I thought the largest freshwater lake in the world was Lake Baikal in Siberia.
According to Wikipedia: Lake Baikal is the most voluminous freshwater lake in the world, containing roughly 20% of the world’s unfrozen surface fresh water,[4][5] and at 1,642 m (5,387 ft),[1] the deepest.[6] It is also among the clearest[7] of all lakes, and thought to be the world’s oldest lake[8] at 25 million years.[9] It is the 7th largest lake in the world by surface area.
I love it when journalist check their facts before writing an article.
Report: 95 percent of global warming models are wrong
Global Warming on Free Republic
I actually chilled my beer in Lake Superior in late August. This warm water being pushed below by winds is a crock. More sophistry by the global warming cult to try to make their fallacious theory fit the actual data.
Idiots.......
The legend lives on from the Chippewa on down
of the big lake they called “Gitche Gumee.”
Barnegat Bay here in central Jersey is about 90% frozen over.
WARM WATER IN LAKE SUPERIOR?????
hell, i have been swimming in the lake in august...
it is frigid damn cold in the hottest part of the summer..
let a lib go swimming in august and make them stay in for an hour...if they survive, slap them silly
