Officials in Connecticut Stunned by What Could Be a Massive, State-Wide Act of ‘Civil Disobedience’
The Blaze ^ | 2-13-2014 | Jason Howerton

On Jan. 1, 2014, tens of thousands of defiant gun owners seemingly made the choice not to register their semi-automatic rifles with the state of Connecticut as required by a hastily-passed gun control law. By possessing unregistered so-called “assault rifles,” they all technically became guilty of committing Class D felonies overnight.

Police had received 47,916 applications for “assault weapons certificates” and 21,000 incomplete applications as of Dec. 31, Lt. Paul Vance told The Courant.

At roughly 50,000 applications, officials estimate that as little as 15 percent of the covered semi-automatic rifles have actually been registered with the state. “No one has anything close to definitive figures, but the most conservative estimates place the number of unregistered assault weapons well above 50,000, and perhaps as high as 350,000,” the report states.

Needless to say, officials and some lawmakers are stunned.

"I didn’t think north-easterners had it in them."

Hey, HEY - it's not easy operating behind enemy lines.
You guys in your normal Red-states with America-loving neighbors and rational polititians to vote for - you guys make me......jealous.

“start” raids...

Yeah, the start won’t be so much of a problem,
later raids might get, as someone else put it... “dicey”.

Class D Felony:

Imprisonment of 1 to 5 years
(Mandatory 1 year prison sentence)

Fine up to $5,000

It also means you can’t own a gun in CT.

Another favored group of lawbreakers, besides the _resident and his administration. They all get rewarded for breaking laws.

They can track ammo sales via credit card companies. I’d move.

I met a guy who sold his NY based business to get away from registering his long guns.

NoNAIS quoted Paul Revere: “The Regulars are out”.

Yes. This was the Regular Army of their own government attempting to coerce Boston into paying for damages, including for some tea for which the taxes were never paid. The battles at Lexington and Concord resulted from government soldiers attempting to disarm the populace surrounding Boston.

It didn't work out well for the Army because the people were armed and willing to fight.

All the state of Connecticut has to do is go to the background check list and start the 3:AM no-knock raids.

It would work for one night. Night two would find (a) nobody home and/or (b) an ambush to remove the raiders from the gene pool. Or their fate would be the guests of FEMA.

And how we burned in the camps later, thinking: What would things have been like if every Security operative, when he went out at night to make an arrest, had been uncertain whether he would return alive and had to say good-bye to his family? Or if, during periods of mass arrests, as for example in Leningrad, when they arrested a quarter of the entire city, people had not simply sat there in their lairs, paling with terror at every bang of the downstairs door and at every step on the staircase, but had understood they had nothing left to lose and had boldly set up in the downstairs hall an ambush of half a dozen people with axes, hammers, pokers, or whatever else was at hand?... The Organs would very quickly have suffered a shortage of officers and transport and, notwithstanding all of Stalin's thirst, the cursed machine would have ground to a halt! If...if...We didn't love freedom enough. And even more – we had no awareness of the real situation.... We purely and simply deserved everything that happened afterward.” - Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn

If I could sell my businesses and leave I would. I was born here but I’ve had it.

I buy my ammo in RI BTW.

“All these Commie pink fags will be swinging from ropes if they don’t knock this sheet off.”

I wonder how come the Nazi pink fags didn’t swing from ropes until one world war later? Continued inaction will lead to a repeat. (See http://www.thepinkswastika.com/6901/6801.html)

Needless to say, officials and some lawmakers are stunned.

The most effective civic lesson is by example.
Their limited intellectual capacity prevents them from seeing the obvious.

Speaking for myself, I would rather go to jail than participate with Obamacare in any manner whatsoever. If I become a Class D felon is inconsequential when I must tolerate a Class AAA felon in everything but name, residing in the White house, and daring "the system" to do anything about it.

Validate the coin, and expect a lot more of it at all levels.
Idiots!

No, but its a sure bet it means you can’t own any firearms.

Or vote.

These criminals are in the position, as their leader said recently, "to do anything they want."

And they actually believe it.
