I taught constitutional law for ten years. I take the Constitution very seriously. The biggest problems that were facing right now have to do with George Bush trying to bring more and more power into the executive branch and not go through Congress at all, and thats what I intend to reverse when Im President of the United States of America.
What a difference six years makes.
The above video, released tonight by The Heritage Foundation, shows two different faces of Barack Obama when it comes to executive branch. In 2008, then-candidate Obama said that Americas biggest problems had to do with George Bush trying to bring more and more power into the executive branch.
Now the attempt to bring more power to the executive is something noble. Remember, when Obama promised to bypass Congress during the State of the Union, the Democrats of said Congress stood and cheered. In 2008, they were uniformly with candidate Obama in decrying Bushs executive decisions. In an address at the Associated Press annual meeting in 2008, Hillary Clinton said that the presidency is not royalty. She added that the Constitution is crafted carefully to prevent by election what our founders overthrew by revolution. The press at the time was equally in step. Yet Obamas far more brazen and blustery promises to bypass Congress are met with celebration.
So what do Democrats really mean by abuse of executive power? It would seem they mean Republicans using it. For President Obama, the sky is the limit.

Where did he teach constitutional law? Has anybody interviewed any of his students? Did he actually have any students? Or is this just another figment of his imagination?
I count 4 lies in just that opening sentence. “B.O. You Lie”!
What is to be done about Obama’s flaunting of the Constitutional separation of powers and his increasingly dictatorial approach to the presidency? Clearly his actions are grounds for impeachment, but that will not happen especially with the current milquetoast GOP leadership. A court challenge would be appropriate, but it might take years to get to the SCOTUS and Obama could just as easily ignore the courts as he ignores the rest of the Constitution. Aside from forcing him to leave office by some means Obama will continue to assume greater and greater power because he knows that no one will stop him. I fear that he may not step down in 2016 and just declare himself dictator as he sees nothing to stop him.
Every president tries to get more power for the Executive branch. Every opposition party decries this and vows to undo it. Rinse, lather, repeat.
He’s “taught” nothing. Ever! He’s invented nothing. He’s manufactured nothing. He’s managed nothing. He’s accomplished nothing.
“Where did he teach constitutional law? Has anybody interviewed any of his students? Did he actually have any students? Or is this just another figment of his imagination?”
Right. Seems like a big claim. 10 years teaching constitutional law. Has anyone vetted this claim?
Who am I kidding?
Students of Obama...? Frightening...
He didn’t teach that.
The only thing he taught in college is how to smoke pot.
It should be noted that Obama was never a "professor". His position was basically akin to visiting instructor. He was never subject to tenure review, which leads me to think he got the job as a political favor, kind of like the no-show job Michelle got at that one hospital (or whatever it was). Obama was definitely not well-liked by the U.C. law faculty, who on the whole viewed him as unqualified and lazy. Hey, that sounds awfully like his present job, no? Some things never change. Once a lazy bum, always a lazy bum.
Oh....good....the choir has heard the sermon...
HOW IS THIS GOING TO BE SEEN BY THE PEOPLE WHO NEED TO SEE IT?!?!?!?!?!
We need more ads like the one showing the professor in China teaching his class about how China took over our country because of the debt we piled up. Ones that make you think--but also hit at the gut-level.
Taquiyah in action.
Thanks. No, some things never change.
I would love to know how his “students” felt about him.
From what I’ve read previously, the few students that did take his course said he was basically worthless. I guess there was some kind of student review thing that allowed incoming students to receive tips from upperclassmen about which professors to take and which ones to avoid and Zerobama was more in the thumbs-down category.
I’m surprised he lasted ten years then.
