Yes. We have an obligation to deal with debt that our Legislative Branch commits, not what this socialist despot in the Executive Branch spends.
Frankly, this “we owe it” meme is a coward’s canard as they whip out a no-limit credit card to line their pockets with.
They had a chance to add budget cutting provisions to the debt ceiling increase. Every other time the retreated they promised they would fight the next time. Instead Cornyn once again sounded the retreat when he strong-armed other Republicans to vote with McConnell, McCain and himself. Then after giving the Democrats everything they wanted, he had the nerve to brag that he voted against the increase on the meaningless final vote.
When? Where? How? WWJC do? Solutions or part of the problem?

The issue is TAXES. Taxes must be brought down and kept down. Otherwise, the "debt" issue becomes another excuse to raise taxes. Low taxes allow wealth growth in the free market. We are not really hurt too much by government overspending as long as taxes are low. Politicians who will not lower taxes and keep them low should be thrown out. Same with spending. The way to deal with overspending is for the American People to throw out overspending politicians.
