So, “climate change” is going to occur in other parts of the world but not the US? Otherwise, why would we need to worry about a refugee situation?

I’m not sure why Lake Michigan tends to stay open. I think it might have something to do with the wave action over a shorter distance. Lake Superior usually stays open simply because there’s so much water there.
The lakes do moderate the weather quite a bit.
