The giant magma blob beneath Yellowstone National Park unleashed tons of ancient helium gas when it torched North America, according to a new study.
"The amount of crustal helium coming out is way more than anyone would have expected," said Jacob Lowenstern, lead study author and scientist-in-charge at the U.S. Geological Survey's Yellowstone Volcano Observatory. The findings appear in today's (Feb. 19) issue of the journal Nature.

On Earth, helium is typically produced as a radioactive decay product of either thorium or uranium.

Yellowstone alone could be causing all this global warming. Add to that the CO2 being produced by all the other volcanic sources and the human contribution is puny indeed. Someone better alert Al Gore and the EPA.
This just in the EPA has determined that 2 million old water is is a heat hazard! Also they have have designated all water to be a dangerous substance due to it's historical link to drowning deaths. All water will be highly restricted and only EPA certified technicians may purchase it.
Obviously the true cause of global warming
The amount of carbon dioxide being released into the atmosphere by Yellowstone, per this article, is approximately twice the total released into the atmosphere by human activity. Combined this release with the release of trapped gases by the uptick in volcanic activity and earthquakes during the prior hundred years or more, and it is pretty obvious that somebody is really mad at us.
If you like your pyroclastic cloud, you can keep it.
Pretty difficult to comprehend the effects of this other than life won’t be the same - even for unaffected areas. The food supply would be in big trouble.

Yes, I can well imagine those EPA certified techies hoarding all that wonderful-tasting old water and guzzling it down like thirsty sailors. Fie, fie on those miserable wretches who keep the watery elixir away from the common rabble. I demand a gov. commission to find out why we Americans can’t have some of that old water. Maybe we might have to invade Canada again to obtain the stuff. And hopefully avoid retreating with our tails tucked between our legs like the last time we tried to invade The Great White North two hundred years ago.
