Defense: The U.S. withdrawal from global leadership continues as Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel proposes cutting the Army to its smallest size since before World War II, leaving no replacement except tyrants and chaos.
The best analysis of the devastating military cuts ordered by President Obama came from former Vice President Dick Cheney on Monday's "Hannity": "He would much rather spend the money on food stamps than he would on a strong military or support for our troops."
Considering the Obama administration has ignored or violated the Constitution in so many ways, we're not surprised that the imperative to provide for the common defense has been reduced to the level of nonessential discretionary spending. Nor are we surprised Secretary Hagel is the messenger delivering this bad news.
His views differ sharply from those of his predecessor Leon Panetta, who warned that under Obama's budget cuts and sequestration our military would have "(t)he smallest ground forces since 1940," "a fleet of fewer than 230 ships, the smallest level since 1915," and the "smallest tactical fighter force in the history of the Air Force."(continued)

i know of many good people who are getting the ebt card and are truly in need of its usage. but obamanomics has seen a cut after the 2012 election $130.00 to january 2014 to 63.00. the stimulus money has run out, obamaphones have stripped the lifeline from real disabled and elderly people to freeloaders on welfare whom have too many children and no desire to work. i know for a fact that a couple has 4 kids the wife makes 1800.00 a month, the husband does not work. to top it all, the wife’s parents live with them and the grandmother works and the grandfather baby sits the 4 year old whom starts head star. notice neither adult male works . 550 a month for foodstamps. here in michigan the 48 months is up in june and they will no longer have ebt card. now looking for a cheaper rental property. the current property is destroyed by them.
Please explain to me why they laughed at me for applying for food stamps after Katrina. Was it because I was a middle-aged, heavy-set white male who had been part-owner of a business in D’Iberville prior to the hurricane? Because the waiting room (in Texas, where I had relocated to) was full of people who looked like they had just gotten off a bus from Mexico within the hour. Luckily, I had previous experience with the unemployment office in a Midwestern state and I was scooped up as a supervisor for an office in Dallas.
It is possible that the real story here is that even after the officer purges, Obama has realized he can’t bend the military completely to his will. So, make it smaller and weaker so that his “civilian military force” (TSA, SWAT teams in the Dept of Education, etc.) will outnumber the formal military when the time comes.
Except that the armed citizenry will always outnumber the military and the SWAT teams.
No worries! They're on food stamps, too.
