Big Lie Finally Laid to Rest (Senate Conservatives Fund email)

Fellow Conservatives:

One of the biggest lies in Republican politics has finally been laid to rest.

The National Republican Senatorial Committee (NRSC) has long maintained that its only goal is to win a Republican majority in the Senate.

But earlier this week, the NRSC disproved this claim when it refused to support conservative candidates against Democrats in the Fall.

Here's the background on this important story.

The NRSC has historically supported all Republican nominees regardless of their ideology as part of the committee's goal of electing Republicans.

NRSCThere have been races in the past where the NRSC played favorites with moderates, but the committee always maintained public support for every Republican nominee after the primary. The NRSC even supported Todd Akin in 2012 once it was clear he was the only Republican on the ballot.

But the NRSC's policy of supporting all GOP nominees has now changed.

The NRSC was asked this week if they would commit to supporting conservative Dr. Milton Wolf (R-KS) in the general election. They refused.

The NRSC is trying to assassinate Dr. Wolf's character by calling him unethical, unstable, and even sadistic. The attacks are so personal and so extreme, they've left no room to support him in the future.

It's all being driven by the fact that Pat Roberts, the incumbent, saw his lead collapse by 28 points after voters learned that he doesn't live in Kansas and has been lying to them about it for over 15 years.

If conservatives get republican nominations, the NRSC is for the democrat winning in November!

Because to these people, in a race between a democrat and a conservative, the democrat is the "lesser of two evils"

So Pat Roberts pulled the same trick that the Massachusetts congresscritter or senator pulled a few years back (can’t remember his name).

No surprise.

Do not give money to any of these organizations. Give directly to the candidates of YOUR choice.

It's the purists in the GOP-E. They won't stand for even a scrap of conservatism.

Cotton, you know I’m on your side when it comes to conservative candidates.

But Milton Wolf is a damned idiot and we are lucky we found it out as early as we did.

And I was one of those who had high hopes until the revelation of his facebook foolhardiness.

You really think a stupid posting and some stupid comments on FACEBOOK should disqualify a candidate for office? And we should let a senator easily slide back into office unopposed because of that?

No FW, you have to understand. Anyone who declares themselves to be conservative and wraps themselves in the Tea Party flag is, ispo facto, qualified and deserves your support. Being a “damned idiot” is not a disqualifier.

By all means. Let’s show the Quislings that support Statism that we are really serious and send them right back to the Senate and the House to continue opposing conservatives.

That’ll teach them!

This is why I no longer support the Republican Party. Well, this and a myriad of other reasons but in a nut shell, the Republican Party has gone to the Left. They abandoned my principles and me a long time ago.

Fine, I can take a hint. Just don’t ask for my vote or support. I’ll vote Tea Party.

So, I see the Surrender Monkey caucus and the Self-Righteous Caucus of FreeRepublic has shown up.

So a stupid stunt by Dr. Wolf, 4 years ago, is reason to disqualify a Tea-Party candidate.

What does a GOP-E candidate have to do?

Does lacking fidelity to conservatism count?

How about deceit of cloture votes for Liberal Monstrosities and then voting against those same Liberal Monstrosities?

How about voting to raise the Debt Ceiling without fighting for any compromises from the other side?

I take it neither of you two self-righteous posters have ever done something stupid?

“You really think a stupid posting and some stupid comments on FACEBOOK should disqualify a candidate for office?”

If that were the criteria, here’s the poster child for disqualifications in Congress.

SCP, you have just witnessed a muster of the circular firing squad here on FR. There will be many more between now and November. No wonder the Pubbies get their @$$es handed to them so often. We should all just support the conservative candidate(s) of our personal choosing and not trust anything coming out of official party mouthpieces. We are NOT LIVs.

Yeah, I’m a surrender monkey.

What are you doing for Milton Wolf at this point? You going to head over and volunteer for his campaign? You sending him money?

Why not? Because the big bad Establishment has made your widdle job oh so difficult?

Get on with it, tough guy. If you think it doesn’t matter that a man posts pictures of dead people online, and makes jokes about them-—well, hell, you’ve got your candidate, don’t you?

Don’t you, punk?

I don't know all of the background with the NRSC with their support of various "conservative" candidates but in this case, not supporting Wolf in his challenge to Roberts so far is not the problem.

Kansas conservatives can determine which conservative candidate they wish, not others, even media conservatives from elsewhere who have determined Wolf is "the conservative" Kansas voters will have, regardless of our desires!

Some of us know better about Wolf and the recent kerfluffle over his autopsy photos and shallow attempts at gallows humor, has nothing to do with our desire not to support him!

Quit running straw dogs over Kansas conservatives refusing to get on board with Wolf, please!

No matter what "evidence" Mark Levin, Erick Erickson and a few others have convinced themselves about, Wolf is NOT what or who they believe him to be and shouldn't we in Kansas, who aren't part of the NRSC, the Roberts campaign, big GOPe, or others have a voice here???

Why must conservatives in Kansas chose their candidate based on "conservative media talking heads" from around the country say? Will someone please answer this for me?

Simple answer. You shouldn’t. Is anybody else stepping up to run against Roberts? Is Kansas just going to let their senator slide back into office unopposed?

I'm sure this comes as a bit of news to Sharon Angle, Christine O'Donnell, Joe Miller, Todd Akin, Richard Mourdock.......

Trust me, there more to be found out about Wolf than his postings XRays of deceased people and making jokes about the circumstances regarding the cause of their death!

...and why would anyone want to excuse a medical doctor doing that anyway?

Just because he tells some media conservatives outside Kansas he is a conservative, doesn't make him one! especially in his own home town!

I love Mark Levin but even he can be fooled in his avid desire to rid the Senate of people he thinks need retiring, he's chosen the wrong candidate to base his reputation on here.
