My thoughts exactly. It makes me seeth to get behind a huge slowpoke, but I’ll eat the time rather than give the government a revenue source and rights diminishment opportunity (in the latter case because some tool will eventually come up with taking your 2A rights for misdemeanors).
That’s my reaction too. It should be a ticketable “infraction” that can only be elevated to a misdemeanor IF the defendant demands a jury trial.
I agree with that, but nonetheless, I think it’s a good idea.
And before somebody gets on me about being all “big government”, government is in charge of our roads. Nearly everybody wants government to take care of the roads. And when governments elected by people are in charge of roads, the people DO get to determine, by measures such as these, that the PASSING LANE is actually used for PASSING.
And supporting a left-lane law does not mean I’m about to start supporting anti-smoking laws, or the War on Drugs, or laws regulating trans-fats, sugar, etc.
