Anti-smoking groups don’t give a crap who dies or from what. It’s all a money making scam by alphabet soup groups who make money off of MSA legal settlements and state cigarette taxes and funding from big pharmaceutical companies selling Worthless nicotine replacement gums and patches. Imagine if you sold a product that failed 95% of the time. You would be out of business.
In the crony capitalist government world if you have the right lobbyist they will sell your worthless product To the government and claim that it will solve all of your problems and reduce healthcare expenses for Medicare and Medicaid gubmint programs.
Of course, their real goal is to get more taxpayer funding and grant money to pay for the lease on their Audi A7 and their ski chalet in Aspen.
Like every central planning Politburo authoritarian regime in history, they never accounted for unintended consequences or human brilliance and innovation. They never saw electronic cigarettes coming.
