The level of debt, both in government and consumer debt, is so high it could not tolerate the necessary inflation needed to fund a war like that.

It would bankrupt companies and individuals. The people here could not stomach that.

It’s a sad state of affairs, but it’s the truth.

I dont underestimate the American ability to ramp up, we have the strongest economy in the world. During the early 40's we made sacrifices and by the end of the war (4 years later) we were cranking out thousands of planes and tanks per day. I realize we hold seperate opinions on what can be done.

I read a story last week about Russia negotiating with 8 countries around the globe for warm water ports for their navy. That tells me Putin has no intention stopping in the Crimea. It is entirely concievable that we will not get a choice. America is the last big stick of the free world, Europe can't stop Putin and they know it, even though we have clowns in DC trying to take a military response off the table. I have long said when Bush left, he took the last of the serious or even mature minds with him, James Baker, Dick Cheny, Condi Rice,John Negroponte, John Danforth and others. Now we have nothing but clowns, childish Narcissist, that are way in over their heads.
