If you think the movie "Dallas Buyers Club" was about homosexuality then you either didn't actually watch the movie or you didn't understand it.
Dallas Buyers Club was about the corruption in the FDA and the Pharmaceutical Industry. The drugs in question treated AIDS but McConaughey's character was straight (He contacted AIDS through straight sex) and he was the focus of the movie and his battle with the FDA to get drugs to people that actually worked and kept them alive.
You noticed that too? Gay or race, race or gay. I have a feeling there were quite a few low budget indies that were better but didn’t have the advertising or the correct politics.
