Ahem. I'm either responsible or irresponsible.
I'll accept either situation. As an irresponsible, I can have fun and yield to my impulses; caveat emptor.
As a responsible, I expect that my dutiful minions will accept my leadership and see that my instructions are followed. Fun either way, see?
I got the word straight from the top, and I’ll not be using that word again. You don’t want to either.
“For the crime of irresponsibly handing advanced tech to primitive cultures, how do you plead?”
I plead “not guilty” by reason of “advanced science” your honor.
“That is not a plea!”
Sure it is, ask the people of the planet I saved...
/ end court scene.
I am very relieved to hear the good news about Piper.
Stupid dog.
.
(Sniff)
Excellent.
Where was Piper hiding out at?
You’re very lucky with Piper. Bryan just got done telling me about his coworker, who let their gentle, beautiful dog outside.
He thought it had gone back into the house, but when his wife came home, they discovered that the dog was gone.
Fliers, pictures, Facebook, frantic house-to-house searches, etc.
Long story short, some retard shot the dog for no reason and buried it. Coworker found the grave and dug up the dog.
Charges were filed, there was a trial, and the killer went to jail, but not for long enough.
The stupid fool had two “expert” witnesses. Neither ever saw the dog. The first witness was recognized by the presiding
judge as a judge for the local festival. The best dog got to be king of the day. The perpetrators case went down the rabbit
hole when the judge of the festival was reminded that the dead dog had won Best Dog two years ago for being the friend-
liest, gentlest dog.
The other totally idiotic witness for the defense (who had never seen the dog) testified that it was a vicious monster, and
he would have chopped it to pieces if he had been there.
That took the cake. Guilty as charged.
Before this all went to trial, the perp’s wife “committed suicide,” and a lot of people suspect that she had some help with it.
There wasn’t enough evidence to charge him for her death. Pity.
10-4
Besides, he still doesn't know what the blgthryths eat..
Bob, I knew you would have the solution.
She must have spent a lot of time in the woods, to have travelled at least 8 miles. There are lots of open sheds, barns, garages, and so on, so she could get out of the rain. Finally she decided she wanted to be around other dogs and their food.
Oh, that’s a terrible story! I was worried that Piper had been trapped or bitten or attacked by other dogs or hit by a car.
Please, I handed over no advanced technology. You know me.
I am the King of advanced technology. Ask me about the Cloaking Device they used on that Malaysian airplane some time.
Apparently it all happened last summer. They are finally getting another dog. Here’s hoping that they keep a closer eye on it.
Yeah, and I was just worried that someone would take a shine to
Piper and just keep her without bothering to check the chip.
Okay ... I’m harmless, declawed and a sitting duck. But everyone knew that.
I have to hear that story ... maybe you will share via email.
It’s been all over FR. Since 20 of my coworkers are probably dead, it must therefore be our fault the airliner went down. Interweb logic, you have the picture right there.
These people couldn’t catch her to check the chip, and I didn’t figure anyone else would unless she was sick or injured. They called animal control, who had our report on file.
The late Ash went walkabout a number of times, but she would quickly get bored and go looking for people who liked dogs. Our phone number was on her tag. We’d get calls from a couple of streets over, “Hey, we have your dog!”
I must have had a little help Bob but will not blame you.
“Isn’t it great that we’re all cats here?” -confused dog.
Yeesh.
At least she’s safe.
