if it came down to Christie vs Hillary in the end?

I will vote. For every republican on the ballot like I have done the last 2 presidential elections. But this time I'll write in Sarah Palin or Ted Cruz for president rather than the RINO the RNC has hand picked. He'd probably lose anyways.

Christie vs Hillary would tell me it was time to move to a rural area, build a bunker & live off the grid as end times are near. If Americans are given the choice of vote for crap or a bigger crap, I’m done playing that game.

CPAC “invited” the homosexual Republican group to speak there. SO HOW conservative ARE they??

I would vote for ANYBODY the GOP ran against Hillary or ANY of their candidates.

But I will vote against Christie in the primary. Christie and Bush are equally BAD. In addition to his failures as a solid conservative, Christie has a hot head and a hair-trigger temper. His record in New Jersey is one of abject economic failure. New Jersey was No. 49 in business friendliness when he took over, and it still is there.

He has failed to alleviate the burden of excessive regulation on businesses there or on its citizens. Given he has to deal with a solid hostile Democrat majority in the Legislature.

I hope the GOP nominates a real conservative like Cruz. Even Rubio is preferable to either Christie or Bush.

“What if it came down to Christie vs Hillary in the end?”

The hope by the GOPe is you hold your nose and pull the lever for Christie.

I am not sure who said it is better to have half a loaf of bread than no loaf. I want to stay home. However I also feel that a RINO will at least hold some values sacred especially if we have both houses and SCOTUS. I know for sure the rat won’t.

A choice between sitting it out and letting a general in the enemy camp give the orders or voting for a general in our camp who has infiltrated us as a double agent.

If we vote for the double agent we lose our camp. If we sit it out we suffer bombardment but we keep our camp.

This is for everyone here who thinks that the GOP candidate has to be perfectly Conservative - according to their specific ideas as to what a Conservative is.....

We, that is, our beloved country, is on the brink of total collapse both fiscally and morally. It is dismaying that good people, like Freepers, actually say they will not vote for this man or that man/or woman, because in one issue or another, the candidate is not perfect enough.

Well, all I can say is - the Democrat party candidate will surely be a Socialist or a clandestine Communist, and is highly likely to be anti-Christian/anti-Semitic or anti-God as well. They are also likely to be willing to continue to spend this wonderful nation into bankruptcy. And one other thing - the Democrats will do their best to lie, steal and buy votes to continue their destructive ways.

It simply defies my imagination that in the face of this terrible situation and danger, fellow freepers will actually rule out voting for some of our candidates who are 1000 times better than anything the Democrats will have on the ballot. Please keep an open mind. We have 24 months to look over the field of candidates. Surely we can stick together for the sake of our wonderful USA.

What you articulated is what I’ve been arguing in forums like this ( to no avail ).

Loo, I never did like Mitt Romney and did not support him in the primaries. But after he won, what would have been the alternative?

Some FReepers went third party (which in effect WASTED their votes ). Many stayed home.

There result was a 5 million vote margin ( fraud included ).

If we had Mitt at the helm, at least Obamacare would have been repealed by now. That alone would be worth the lesser evil that Mitt Romney is rather than this gargantuan evil that we have now.

But be assured, this issue will rear its head again this middle of year and in 2016.

I'd take marginally conservative. 40 years ago Juan McAmnesty and the pro-homo military and pro-homo adoption one term liberal governor of Taxachusetts, Mitt Romneycare would have been considered radical leftists. They don't even rate as pretend conservatives.

Perfect? Come on, now. Most of us would settle for vaguely acceptable, but even that seems to beyond the imagination of the GOPe.

1,000 times better, you say? I’m not sure Christie is better than Chairman Maobama by even a millimeter. He is certainly parsecs short of acceptable.

F the GOPe. NO MORE!

“Some FReepers went third party (which in effect WASTED their votes ). Many stayed home.”

Maybe if enough of us do that often enough, we’ll start getting some acceptible candidates.

“There result was a 5 million vote margin ( fraud included ).”

IMO, the fraud was about 7 million votes.

“If we had Mitt at the helm, at least Obamacare would have been repealed by now.”

Really? Mr. RomneyCare would have appealed the same thing he did as a state governor? When pigs fly.

He would have said, “All this needs is my magic touch,” and proceeded to tweak Obamacare until it was worse than when he started.
