Showing up for three hours a day is too much. Seriously, I also notice he takes a lot more time off now than he used to.

Probably searching out a new home in New Zealand. I think he knows things will not be getting better in this country, and is making arrangements for his departure.

My Syrian friends used to tell me a joke about Assad and his remarkable re-election record.

The elections were basically referendums on Assad, and the ballot basically asked you to vote “yes” or “no” on Assad’s continued reign.

A hapless Syrian gentleman once voted “no” and cast his ballot. Then, he quickly reconsidered, fearing for his life. He called a contact in the government and said that he’d made a mistake by voting “no” and wanted to make sure his vote was changed to “yes.”

The government official replied, “Don’t worry, sir; we already realized you made a mistake and have changed your ballot for you.”

Dark humor apparently thrives under dictatorships.

I’m so glad Rush doesn’t use Mark Davis anymore in his guest host fill in roster.

Not only was Davis annoying to listen to, but his cynical, snide attitude towards the Tea Party simply peeved me off!

BTW, Roger Hedgecock was always a good fill-in host.
