Malaysia military tracked missing plane to west coast: source

Malaysia's military believes a jetliner missing for almost four days turned and flew hundreds of kilometers to the west after it last made contact with civilian air traffic control off the country's east coast, a senior officer told Reuters on Tuesday. --SNIP--

Malaysian authorities have previously said flight MH370 disappeared about an hour after it took off from Kuala Lumpur for the Chinese capital Beijing.

"It changed course after Kota Bharu and took a lower altitude. It made it into the Malacca Strait," the senior military officer, who has been briefed on investigations, told Reuters.

Hurray. I have company in my conspiracy thinking.

Did you see that the pilot had a history of letting women into the cockpit?

Among those aboard were First Officer Fariq Abdul Hamid, 27, who along with a fellow pilot violated airline rules in 2011 by allowing two young South African women into their cockpit during a flight, one of the women told Sydney-based Nine Network. The report included photos of the women in the cockpit, with one appearing to show them posing with a man resembling Fariq. Passengers have been prohibited from entering the cockpit during a flight after the 9/11 attacks on the United States.

I don’t know. The one on the right is setting off my GAYDAR. Maybe they just didn’t want a neck-first lift from a big crane and were trying to get away.

Bad news would be the authorities covered till plane made it out due to area of search remaining confined for three days without expanding based on other information known. I never thought I would be praying for a crash but here I am praying the plane crashed.

In general the problem I have with Indonesia as a destination is, a hell of a lot of people live there, and hiding a 777 would be no easy task.

Might be an easy task if the plane turned west from it's last known location and flew to the tip of Indonesia, Banda Aceh, where the terrible tsunami struck a few years ago. Landing fields must exist there for the supplies donated.

Muslims, stolen passports, nothing wrong with that if you are a muslim. Really, this is just another political correct move to appease to the libtards and their ilk.

I’m trying to follow 4 threads at the same time while trying to find updates.

I think I need to bail for awhile. Keep it up all. Get to the bottom of this, cause apparently no one else will.

I’m currently looking at a few pictures of the Pilot and Co-Pilot. I haven’t read any real informative bio or either, but just looking through the pictures, if either were involved, I’d probably bet on the Pilot.

The pilot would like to help you fix your ice maker:

Yes. Another avenue is the “plane geek” pilot had a flight simulator in his home. That means he could have tested nefarious scenarios at home without anyone knowing. I think the pilot is the key, not his horny co-pilot. The possibilities range from simple theft ... to jihad hijacking of some kind.

And if you continue to report after you change course, that would give away your new bearing. Would it not?

If someone has the equipment. This isn't a military operation, it is something out of the ordinary. The guy working the radio on the ground is expecting ordinary, when he gets it all is well. I could already be flying the opposite direction when I report. The ground guy won't expect another report until I near the next Estimated Enroute Time for the next FIR (Flight Information Region). In this case the Ho Chi Minh boundary with either Hanoi or Sanya.

I see the Malaysians passing off control of the plane to the Vietnamese, the Vietnamese accepting, but then sitting there waiting for the plane to signal for a few minutes thinking the Malaysians passed control too early(or something)

In that area, I doubt there is the radar capability for that process. Looking at the FIR boundaries and the graphic depiction, it looks like the flight turned short of the FIR boundary for the Nam and was in an area where three FIRs converge.

“If it is a -200ER, then the max range is 7,725 nautical miles”

NM = 2,000 yards/6,000 feet.

Statute mile = 5,280 feet.

Do the math. ;-)

We sent carriers full of drinking water and equipment to Banda Aceh for quite some time.

One had an incident inviting two girls into the cockpit. Is that just a third world pilot thing?

I thought the same thing this morning. The ‘aviation geek’ had an exact mockup to test various electronic/aviation scenarios without anyone else being aware of his doing so.
