All my kids and kids in law, who are all under the age of 40, have no problem with homosexual marriage. And they are all conservatives. I’m not sure how they feel about the legalization of weed.

Something really wrong with your family's definition of Conservative.

Your family has Libertarian nailed down, Conservative, not so much.

Hot Air has the hots for the homoification of America. They daily post pro-homo polls.

Why is anyone surprised about this? They are part of the 'fairness' generation. Everybody should be excellent to one another. If they are un-churched, as many are, or even if they are regular members of some church or other, they have this notion that it must be humans messing things up because God loves everybody, so He wants us to be happy.

Much as I hate to say it, I think homosexual marriage shouldn't even be part of the platform, because at this point, it's an issue that's being fought at the state level, so candidates for national elections shouldn't even bring it up. If they're asked, they can state their own personal opinion, but mention that Congress won't likely even be handling the matter.

I don’t consider this site pro-homo at all. They present BOTH good and bad news.

It is not being fought at the state level. Federal judges are imposing this on state after state even though they have no power to make laws

Post five ignored the thread topic, states already ahve gay marriage, and the federal government is recognizing those state marriages for federal employees and foreign gay marriages in immigration.

The question is how we outlaw gay marriage again, and keep polygamy from becoming legal.

Libertarian and liberal politics has already given us gay marriage with polygamy soon to follow, we want to end it and preserve normal marriage.

Federal judges should not be allowed to make laws like that

They aren’t libertarians — what about the liberty of those who recognize what a travesty this “Gay marriage” farce is? They are Punktarians. They want the country to be punked.

If America is getting gulled, and Hot Air is honest about it, that shouldn’t be imputed as blame to Hot Air.

At some point I hope it dawns on America that, yes, salvation is in God and it isn’t in politics at all. The two aren’t even close. Comparing a rock to quicksand.

Why is anyone surprised about this?

Nobody who steps away from Free Republic once in a while and walks around in the real world from time to time is surprised by this poll.

I'm in the military and work with a lot of people under 30 and I'm not surprised at all.

I used to support gay marriage.

Now I don’t

I think it is quite possible that these young people will change their minds.

It is also true that the current entry of young people to the Republican party is driven by libertarians.

I don’t like that very much and I do think there is a real question of loyalty.

We need to be explaining that gay marriage is not diverse.

We need to be “for diversity in marriage.”

We also should exploit unseen ideological divisions in the gay community.

Gay males dominate the discussion by saying homosexuality is not a choice.

That actually offends many in the lesbian community who view their choice to reject men meaningful. The masculinist spin on gay rights is homophobic against political lesbians.

Without these kinds of arguments on the offense, it is hard to make back ground.

With some states legalizing gay marriage, and the federal government accepting those state marriages for it’s employees and military, then it was, and is, going to take some strong politics to reverse this.

But the more we lowered their taxes the more feckless and the more acepting they become of big governement. They are limousine liberals or if they are GOP they are usually total rinos. If this is the way they are going to be they should pay for it. This is their fault they should pay for it.

That is true, and the media started ignoring the lesbian assertion that it is a choice, the argument between them was well established in the mid 1990s, and then the media preferred male view was taken up as more useful to the cause.

You are going to have a strong batch of quicksand.

Until once more God is made first and foremost, to the point that one is willing to put that allegiance even over any political purpose.

The lust/”love” impulse in homosexuality is a strong crazy glue applied where it shouldn’t be.

Or to put the figure of speech differently, it’s Satan’s short circuit in the wiring of human love. Nothing can actually repair this tragedy short of God.

God lets things go to hell just so that we can see that there is only one plausible alternative to hell (on earth, or off earth). Himself.

If we won’t take the hint then we are in a terrible danger. Terrible. If we insist there is nothing better than to go to hell, then God will, but not because He preferred it, grant that choice.
