Whites unwelcome at college diversity 'happy hour'

OLYMPIA, Wash. (AP) — South Puget Sound Community College says it was a mistake for an employee group to invite only people of color to a diversity "happy hour."

The group that sent out the email last week apologized the next day and canceled the event, said Kellie Purce Braseth, dean of college relations.

The invite made it clear white people were not welcome.

Strange - I drive through Olympia fairly often and there are very few blacks to be seen. Plenty of hippies and limousine liberals, though.
It's also the home of Evergreen State College which hosted convicted cop killer mumia jamal as it's commencement speaker back in the 90's, by phone from his prison cell.
