How about in return we require the dim wits in the soft studies classes to pass at least one engineering class to graduate. Problem Solved!
How to devalue a degree.
Do we really want people from the imbecile end of th bell curve taking up valuable space in the engineering school.
I believe savvy Euro Universities will come up with programs specifically for American students.
In the new world order of hussein obama and his regime of racist thugs, we must be oh-so careful with our exercising of the First Amendment right to free speech. When President Sarah Palin puts an end to all of obama's nonsense, America will return to the country it once was.
Illiterates...
Its like High School Degrees from the Sixties versus the Nineties.
SAT scores (when normalized for the increase from 1200 to 1600) peaked in 1964.
The political commissars want to force their PC-think on everybody—no exceptions!
Mandating that we all think the same way is how we create diversity and innovation?!? Does this student have any actual brain at all? Does she grasp the actual definition of the word "diversity"?
As for the crevices of diversity... never mind.
bkmk
Ponder this: all the advantages that Obama enjoys in this country because of our pre-occupation with race and ethnicity and “fair play” may be a liability and backfire in other countries.
No ACLU, no NAACP, no Black Caucus and no fawning MSM to support him in Europe and ASIA.
You want to witness raw racism in its purest form? Go sit in the bleachers at a European soccer game and hear the “n” word shouted and spoken more often than I heard in the South in the 50’s. No company that wants to do business in the Middle East, for instance, will send a Black representative even if he/she is qualified and has earned a PhD.
The folks at the university who teach this race and ethnicity bunk have no idea what is going on off campus and even less about the world outside the US.
Hmm.... 2 years after we got rid of Prayer in School and JFK via Exec-Order allowed Unions for Fed ( & State ? ) workers...
This is not good what is going on @ U of M. Their is retired Prof from U of M on a screed about the number of foreign exchange students in the Naval Engr program their. Hint, a big trading partner that bought a lot of our bonds that Nixon opened the door too.
I wish I could have this retired prof from U of M post here, it is not what you think. Engrg and Business maybe the last bastions ( like I military was ) not inculcated by PC, until now...
Gotta keep room for the football and basketball players in there.
Here is an idea. Offer an “engineering” course in human measurements. Focus on how various ethnic groups are differentiated by various measurements. Let one of the textbooks be “The Bell Curve”. See if the faculty likes that idea.
Yeah, right. What these classes are REALLY about is how everything is Whitey's fault. Caucasians are bad, male Caucasians are worse, and male, Christian Caucasians are the worst of the lot.
That's all this game is. Hate Mr. Whitey.
“With a decent GOTV campaign we could replace the whole UofM administration over the course of a couple of elections.”
I don’t doubt it. And we need to take back academia as well as the media and the government structure. The question is can we hang together and stay the course long enough to do it.
I truly believe innovation lies in the crevices of diversity, she said in a statement. Making sure that we incorporate diversity in all of our thinking and the way that we see the world will only lead to innovation.
Hey, Shayla, isn't incorporating (racial and ethnic) diversity into all our thinking a bit bizarre? It's an obsession reminiscent of Hitler and Nazi Germany! It led to "innovation" only in terms of barbarity.
Just thinking: what would all these leftists be saying if the course on race and ethnicity were taught by a professor like Dr. Charles Murray, or if Murray's books The Bell Curve and Human Accomplishment were the required texts?
Todays “activists” have a lot in common with the ones who were enamored with Schickelgruber in the 1930s..
