One poster at the Conservative Treehouse has a plausible theory using this. That one is that the plane was flown to either Pakistan or Iran. The US and Boeing know where it is, and have for a while now. What is going on now is an operation to destroy the plane before it can be used in a terrorist attack, and bring some identifiable pieces of it out to the ocean west of Austrailia, where ships will “find” it as a cover story. The logistics of this is why it is taking so long.
I, too, believe debris will be planted. I am surprised it is taking so long.

In October, 1980, a US merchant ship went missing on a voyage to Port Said, Egypt carrying grain. All types of theories were put forth about its disappearance. The Iranian
government even made claims that it had the ship.
The most likely cause of the disappearance: the grain shifted in a storm; the ship capsized and sank almost immediately with all hands. No distress signal was sent.
No lifeboats, life rafts luggage, bodies, nothing was ever found.
You can be sure if our gov knows where it it (I think they do) they would in no way let it be known right now. That is certain.
AND, you can be sure they won’t try to destroy it until they know the situation of the passengers. They are all probably dead - but the gov wouldn’t take a chance of harming them if there is any chance they are alive.
This will be kept in the dark probably for a long time.
But I’d put huge odds they do know exactly where it is. And they are letting the media play the idiots that they are for their max benefit.......

Well I somewhat agree with that theory also. IMO the powers that be know where that plane is and they are likely trying to figure out what to do about it. At some point we may hear that a raid has been carried out and the plane has been secured. Thats what I’m expecting to see.
Obama is too busy screwing up the Ukraine thing. He has not ability to handle two crisis at once, thus doesn’t want another thing to deal with.
