Retired Lt. General Thomas McInerney was on America’s News HQ today to once again discuss his theory that missing flight MH370 flew to Pakistan. McInerney and LIGNET Intel Group still believe the plane flew to Pakistan. paki flight

Langley Intelligence Group Intel Group released a second report Friday on the missing plane.

As the search for Malaysian Airlines Flight 370 drags on without a trace of wreckage at sea, the likelihood of foul play looms larger. One country keeps rising to the top of the list of suspects: Pakistan.

Ten days after the flight vanished, LIGNET learned that engineers at Boeing, the plane’s manufacturer, believed the missing aircraft was on the ground in Pakistan. For several reasons, including al-Qaeda’s presence there, historical attack patterns, corruption, weakness and terrorist sympathies at the highest levels inside Pakistan, that hunch may be right.

Lt. Gen. McInerney discussed why the plane flew to Pakistan.

“LIGNET put out a report, substantiated yesterday, that there sources got their information from Boeing sources, which is covert. Not that they got their information from the Boeing Company because they’re involved in the investigation, that the airplane was in Pakistan. That was confirmed by LIGNET on Monday and I got another source at LIGNET that confirmed it yesterday… I do believe that those people in Pakistan, in the ISI, those people who knew where Osama Bin Laden was and didn’t tell us. I believe those same elements could be involved with getting that airplane into a Pakistan air force base.”

Why do the pings start at 5:11? Where are ping rings for 1:11, 2:11, 3:11, and 411?

Those would give us a better idea of where the plane went after the military radar lost contact and also a check on how accurate the satellite ping ranging is.

Also, note the satellite's position is shown south of the equator. That would means that it oscillates north and south over the course of a day.

His itinerary didn't make sense to me and had to cost a LOT of money.

Supposedly, the cheapest way to get to Europe at the time of booking was through Beijing. The travel agent said she had had a better flight arranged via Qatar, but it expired before "Mr. Ali" got back to her.

This is McInerny’s Capone’s safe moment. I would think he’s got to put up now or lose credibility forever.

This must be McInerney’s “announcement in 24/48 hours” moment. What a putz..

If that plane flew over land as it had to to get to Pakistan then it would have shown up on radar from atleast half a dozen countries -- China and India for sure.

And if China knew that 150 of its citizens were being held captive in Pakistan there would be a Chinese armada heading that way.

Our current society thinks that it is entitled to all information about everything. I’m so sick of this attitude. Loose lips sink ships.

Let’s tell the truth. Too many of us draw conclusions about incidents based on a few reports/blog musings by persons often possessing no expertise and no first-hand information. Almost always, that conclusion supports their worldview based on extremely limited facts. Few of us stop to think that most of those offering opinions and writing about it make their living based on how much revenue their opinions generate. The more exciting the opinion the more money they make.

Objectivity is losing steam in the world of rapid information sharing. We sit and listen to speeches by politicians and after the speech we watch “the spin room” where reporters interview hacks that tell us what we just listened to ourselves. Reason is a dying art and “spin” is the flavor of the day.

Modern journalism is losing objectivity because it is often based on a left-right “equal spin” model. In fact, most journalists are nothing more than paid mouthpieces for one side or the other. The breaking news stories such as this flight are even worse. The disappearance of the plane is a fact. I think we agree that the blacking out of communications from the plane is a fact. Beyond those facts and a few “stories” about the pilots or passengers we know nothing. Everything else is pure speculation at this point, but there are lots of conclusions being made.

We all speculate and it’s entertaining and even helpful because it can sharpen our own ideas. However, we would be wise to remind ourselves that our speculation is based on very limited facts. At some point, all of us (myself included) can let speculation become our own version of reality absent facts. This desire to know everything quickly and trust a reporter to write it (or speak it) objectively is dangerous. There is a reason that plane crash investigations often take many months to complete and it’s not a conspiracy. Investigators examine everything and test their conclusions prior to releasing a final report that often receives little news coverage.

Just something to think about....

Those two non-drug-using athlete ex-Seals murdered on the Mirsk by heroin probably intercepted the plan McInerney is postiing.

I think that is too far fetched

After all, China is a major investor in America, 2d or 3rd largest buyer of our debt

Why do they want to see our economy crash and take all their treasuries down with it- how is a nuked nation going to assure their investment is sound and pay them back?

They seek hegemony in the western pacific and assured access to resources worldwide, but we are not at the end stage of having to kill each others’ cities- just imo

Very good, I like your analysis of what I’ve been thinking.
Can anyone of us flooded with all this information, most of it speculative, ever say, “uh, I dunno” ?
Could this general say “I dunno”. Oh wait, that wouldn’t get him his face on the idiot box.
Everyone’s in show biz.
I feel like the last fool on earth not having a sincere theory (except absurd jocular ones) of this disappearance.

Sat. Mar.15th via Reuters: Malaysian plane saga highlights air defense gaps

"Military systems, meanwhile, are often limited in their own coverage or just ignore aircraft they believe are on regular commercial flights. In some cases, they are simply switched off except during training and when a threat is expected.

That, one senior Indian official said, might explain why the Boeing 777 was not detected by installations on India's Andaman and Nicobar Islands, an archipelago which its planes were searching on Friday and Saturday, or elsewhere.

"We have many radar systems operating in this area, but nothing was picked up," Rear Admiral Sudhir Pillai, chief of staff of India's Andamans and Nicobar Command, told Reuters. "It's possible that the military radars were switched off as we operate on an 'as required' basis."

I hope the U.S. doesn’t do that, but it wouldn’t surprise me with Obama in charge.

I always liked the episode in “Game of Thrones” when
Tieran tells two different stories to two different people to find out who the snitch is. I would think that a lot
of weeding out of Intel is also going on now.
“Never let a disaster go to waste.” It’s also a way of
seeing the flaws in the global airline business.
Let’s not forget that most of the passengers were
Electronic Warfare Semiconductor Specialists.
I think the whole thing is a test for something far more
sinister...
