That’s correct and they are contracted out by Boeing because it’s Boeing engines that do the pinging and send the data.

No, they are Rolls Royce engines and the data went to the UK and was first reported from there IIRC.

It's almost funny -- people think Obama is a huge liar. We don't believe him about anything. The economy? The IRS? Benghazi? You name it: the man is not to be trusted.

And then we turn around, scratch our heads and get all puzzled: "Golly gee, I'm really surprised that our government just can't seem to find that darned plane!!"

They know. Obviously. They just aren't telling.

I don’t even think Obama is the owner of sufficient gray cells to make up his own lies.

He can’t even repeat them without a TelePrompter or an ear bud.

That was the way it was first reported but then the name “Rolls Royce” was removed entirely from the story, which is strange, but it is indicative that Rolls Royce is a Boeing subcontractor that makes those engines to Boeing specs and thus for all intents and purposes and legal reasons they are Boeing engines.

That’s better. For a bit I thought you were inferring McInerney was doing nobama’s bidding.

I believe the General before anyone else regarding the missing plane.

How long did the Pak ISI get by hiding Osama?

We can’t give in to our wish to bestow our logic onto some of the worst idiots on the planet.

The Paks think they will not be found out, so they feel free to do anything for their cause.

Don’t believe Boeing makes the engines. That’s Rolls Royce and RR was getting the engine pings.

As long as you don’t blame “common core” for your error, all is forgiven.

This is a Kelly File video at the beginning it is stated it was reported missing on March 7, 2014 and the report continues with a summary of notable events providing a timeline.

Good review of events and reporting from Megyn Kelly who has reported on this issue and nothing else for two weeks.

Boeing offers a satellite service that can receive a stream of data during flight on how the aircraft is functioning and relay the information to the plane’s home base. The idea is to provide information before the plane lands on whether maintenance work or repairs are needed.

Could be the Herald is right about Boeing’s incoming maintenance reporting, but the engine pings everyone has mentioned was to the UK satellite Inmarsat for Rolls.

No the engine reporting data system was almost certainly part of the Rolls Royce warranty (the engines may even have been leased). That's why the Malaysians could opt out of the ACARS stuff, but needed the engine reporting to Rolls.

Rolls would probably be offended to call hem Boeing engines. From wiki - “Versions of the Trent are in service on the Airbus A330, A340, A380, Boeing 777, and 787, and variants are in development for the forthcoming A350 XWB.”

The Malaysian Airlines 777’s definitely used RR engines

unless they are attached to a plane that went down.

I stand corrected - I hadn't read the WSJ update -

Corrections & Amplifications

U.S. investigators suspect Malaysia Airlines Flight 370 flew for hours past the time it reached its last confirmed location, based on an analysis of signals sent through the plane’s satellite-communication link designed to automatically transmit the status of onboard systems, according to people familiar with the matter. An earlier version of this article incorrectly said investigators based their suspicions on signals from monitoring systems embedded in the plane’s Rolls-Royce PLC engines and described that process.

Thanks Whenifhow. Good summation, but it still doesn't answer my question - When was Flight 370 first, officially reported "MISSING"? It sounds like it was only reported when it simply didn't show up in Beijing at it's appointed time, 8:20 a.m. (Beijing time)!

So, it went undetected from 1:20 a.m to 8:20 a.m and no one noticed. Doesn't anyone else find that highly disturbing?

McInerney’s been a pretty consistent critic of this administration. Could be he’s being fed disinfo to discredit him.

I suspect that's the case because the 777 at some S.P.E.C.T.R.E. base in Pakistan is outlandish.
