WASHINGTON (AP) The U.S. is sending military aircraft and more special operations forces to Uganda to assist in the search for fugitive African warlord Joseph Kony.
A senior U.S. military official confirmed Monday that the U.S. is sending at least four CV-22 Osprey aircraft about about 150 more Air Force special operations members and airmen to assist local forces in their long-running battle against Kony's Lord's Resistance Army, or LRA. The official confirmed the plans, first reported by The Washington Post, on condition of anonymity without authorization to discuss them on the record.

The list, Ping
Let me know if you would like to be on or off the ping list
If I were the Ugandan president, I’d tell them ‘thanks but no thanks’. We’ll hunt Kony ourselves, and we’ll do it without the drag shows or rainbow parades.
Why do I have the feeling this administration is sending our military in harms way in Africa as a further penance for the “sins” of our past?
Active Duty ping.
God save our Forces. I’d lay odds that soebarkah distributes candy ‘mongst his lslamist staffers when Americans are killed in battle. His constituents seem to eat it up even more.
“The U.S. is sending military aircraft and more special operations forces to Uganda to assist in the search for fugitive African warlord Joseph Kony.”
so this problem in Africa is an “additional” requirement for our military, but Ukraine cannot even get additional small arms and ammunition!!!!
Where have we heard about an advisory role before? From another Democrat for sure.
Nah, he's just a cowardly turd warmonger who enjoys wasting American soldiers lives. Amazing isn't it? The POS that berated and crucified Bush for "Bush's" wars has no problem sending our young men and women to hell holes all over the world we have no business being in, especially if he can sacrifice them for a muslim.
Why would Obama help out a country with such a strong uncompromising Christian leader such as Uganda?
But Obama refused to send ANY military resources to Benghazi when our own people were being murdered.
There is quite simply no worse place in the world for American soldiers than Sub Saharan Africa.
Is there a good place to have a war?
Benghazi comes to mind.
Iran?
Crimea?
Afghanistan?
Believe me, though I have never been to any of the above places, Northern Uganda/Southern Sudan are better places to be as a US soldier.
I remember reading a long time ago about a parchment called The Constitution; and that it said Congress had to declare war before US forces could be committed to fighting.
But I don’t remember any of that before our fighting in the Balkans, or in Libya, or potentially before Syria; and now Uganda.
Does anyone remember what happened to that old parchment? Did it turn up on Ebay? It might be worth something to a collector....
Sure whatever you say.
Then quit flapping your gums and go.
Are you saying the Constitution was why Obama did not come to the aid of the brave Americans killed in Benghazi?
a few weeks ago Uganda declared homosexuality a crime against the state. Kerry flew over to convince the president otherwise. Now we’re showering Uganda with money. To find an anti-Islamic quasi-christian (indicted by the Hague for alleged war crimes) who proportedly isn’t even in Uganda and who has been, allegedly, (according to wiki anyway) attempting to negotiate surrender to the Central African Republic. It doesn’t seem unreasonable to conclude that Zero has taken to spending taxpayer dollars and American blood to promote homosexuality.
